Absolutely amazing place for food. Staff are amazing Chloe always makes our visit and experience with the best service every time. Menu is spot on with such nice food and choices. Taco Tuesday is a must definitely worth the money and good value every time.
Wow what a nice quirky busy Mexican restaurant! Loved the decor and vibe plus the low lights and mexican theme. The food was amazing, everything we had was so tasty and the taco Tuesday is excellent value for money. I will definitely return when I'm up these ways again Food: 5/5
Visited with a friend for some evening tacos and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive. Tacos were great. The value for money was insane and we basically just kept stuffing our faces with more tacos. Will be back.Recommended dishesA Selection of Tacos
Ive been here a few times and always had a good experience. I've tried all the tacos and each one was really tasty. My personal favourite is the cauliflower! Food comes really quickly and they have a large and interesting choice of margaritas. The staff were all really nice too!Food: 5/5
I was in drawn in from the outside not from the area and was not disappointed! The staff were really friendly and attentive and it had a quality atmosphere. The drinks were really nice and the nachos were the best I've ever had! Only had the nachos as a snack but the food looked really nice too! Would definitely recommend and I'll be going back next time I'm in town.
Gotta say I was a bit cautious given some reviews but I've got only good things to say about the place! Super nice staff, very quickly served and tacos were a delight! It's a bit noisy as it's an evening out spot for groups so if you're looking for a quiet date spot this isn't it. Great place! Definitely recommendFood: 5/5
Absolutely gutted that this place didn't live up to expectations. We were up in Manchester for the weekend and a few friends had recommended El Capo to us. Being big fans of Mexican food, we were excited to visit. The hostess seated us at a table and she was very welcoming. This is the only reason I've given a 2 star rather than a 1 star. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. I noticed that the table next to us had rubbish and dirty cutlery underneath it however it had been prepared for the next customers no biggie but doesn't set a great example. We then ordered Taco's, a Burrito and some fries. We were amazed at how quickly the chef came out of the kitchen to dump the tacos and fries onto the table. Not a smile in sight.. I can only assume that he lost it on the way to the table along with plates, cutlery and of course my Burrito.... We waited around 5 minutes before pointing out to the hostess that we had no plates, she then apologised and got them for us. We then waited at least another 10 minutes for the Burrito to arrive in which time the Tacos were stone cold. Of course, we asked for the Tacos to be heated up so that we could eat our meals at the same time. They then disappeared for another 10 minutes meaning that my burrito was cold by the time the Tacos came back. The worst bit is that the food was not great at all... It was bland with very little meat. My burrito tasted like a wrap filled with rice which is basically all it was. I ended up leaving 3/4 of it as it was just so stodgy and not very nice to eat. From reading other reviews, it does seem like I was very unlucky with the burrito I received as mine looked nothing like other peoples pictures they had lots of meat and filling whereas mine had just rice and a couple pieces of fatty steak. The whole service and attitude of staff except the hostess let the place down and left us feeling very unhappy with our experience. The other kick in the teeth was that they automatically added a 10% service charge to the bill.... If we'd had a nice meal or great service, I'd of been more than happy to pay this and probably would of left a cash tip on top of it, but the service and food was awful meaning I was already annoyed about paying for food I didn't even want to eat, let alone a 10% service charge.
Tacos was lovely and nice choice of cocktails. We also had a few too many honey tequila's which where lovely. Staff where attentive and friendly.
Taco's between £1 to £1.70 iirc, can't complain. We ordered some fries and pardon peppers along with our tacos, but they had been forgotten about. Making our way through the tacos, we was expecting the sides to appear any time soon, only after another 5-10 minute wait, I asked about them, and got the fries after another 3-5 minutes. After another 10 minutes or so, I realised the padrons weren't cooking themselves, so once again, I had to let a staff member know we were waiting on them, then another 5 minutes wait till they arrived. I use to frequent here a while back with friends, but unfortunately this experience has tainted my find memories of this place. P.s. El Jefé isn't on the cocktail menu anymore! Very sad!
We went for their Taco Tuesday and it was very busy. Luckily, we have booked a table. Very straightforward concept of ordering; a small menu a list of tacos is already on the table and you just write down the quantity. If you're familiar in having dim sum in a dim sum restaurant, that was exactly like it. Food came fast and they were all as explained in the menu. Our favourite was the Cheeky Chicken, Cali Cauli, It's Fishy and Badboy Beef Chilli. Service was excellent all the way through. Would visit again.
