"Eden Rock Edinburgh is an indoor climbing centre with an eco-friendly cafe and specialist climbing shop. We are the largest bouldering wall in Scotland, with dedicated training facilities, a fitness area, kids' room and climbs for everyone from beginners to experienced pros. We offer a range of courses for families, groups and beginners, such as Taster Sessions and Inductions. Our Kids' Clubs cater for children aged 3-17 years, where they climb in small groups led by one of our expert instructors. For adult climbers, we provide both private and group coaching, and the chance to experience outdoor climbing on real rock! Took my 7 year old sister bouldering for the first time here. She loved it so much we went back 3 days later. She loved that she had her own section to learn in, but was also able to come into the general hall under my supervision to attempt some of the lower colours. They also have a little cafe Included a picture of an overhang that ruined my holiday might have to travel back just to attempt it again
Fantastic venue with so much room for climbers. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Most the people you will meet are also great meaning the atmosphere is also great. There is enough variety for everyone and multiple levels for creating space between climbers. There is also a shop and cafe so you aren't missing out if you spend a day here
Great facilities. Staff are really not very friendly though. Became a member for 6 months. Went 4 days a week. Only one staff member out of about 15-20 was actually pleasant and made an effort to talk or even smile. Staff are there for themselves not the members or guests. They are knowledgeable but the lack of welcoming atmosphere eventually put me off
Been climbing for years, and I thought I'd check it out. Foot Holds are dirty and slippery in places because of dirt build up, good selection of climbs from easy to hard, seems more like a place for families rather than actual climbers, not sure why I had to pay a membership fee on top of my entry fee. Also, the wall's are not grippy, so no smearing, unlike most other walls or real rock, could definitely do with a spruce up too. Think I'll stick to alien bloc from now on.
Fantastic bouldering centre with plenty of routes to choose from that accommodate a wide range of experience. Additionally, the frequency of which they update the walls is perfect. The route setters always come up with new and interesting challenges regularly
Love this wall, but might have to buy them a new hoover for Christmas... Great layout, good vibes, excellent route setting, just wish I could see through the clouds of chalk/dust when it's busy!
I've been coming here for about 3 years now, was my favourite climbing centre until the new management arrived. I've just had an incident with my direct debit that cost me £165. The exact same issue was fixed by the previous management no problem and no fee. It's clear the new management could do the same but they just want to keep my money. What an absolute shame, loved this place but won't be back.
Best climbing gym in Edinburgh. Only downside is the trek to get there from the centre. Other than that the routesetting is fantastic, facilities are great, a good set of beastmaker woodies, a full gym, a nice cafe, and a decent shop. What more could a climber want?
Great wall, good music, wall has a unique feature of resetting the wall area at a time, meaning there is something new for everyone most weeks. Good trainign area and good food!
Really enjoyed an afternoon here with the kids. There is a great range of routes, straightforward shoe hire, and most importantly for my visit a nice and engaging children's area.
