Calm atmosphere, but unfortunately complete rip off for the food. Artisan sandwich prices for a bit of bread with close to nothing for the filling. Staff were practically non verbal and unable to think of a solution after missing items to our order too. Left waiting and I’ve got the patience of a saint…I never find myself complaining, but our hot drinks came overspilling and with faulty lids. Not a great experience at all.
This used to be a really atmospheric good place for food and hot drinks. Especially cakes! Lunch has been good in the past but the prices have gone up. I now don't find the cost for the food is right. They have flipped from good range of cakes to less cakes and large cookies at around £4.5. The cookies are over sweet and just not as good as the previous cake offerings. Please go back to large selection of cakes! Pleased to say the coffee is the best on the street still. There is a toilet here and has disabled access once you are in through the door. There is a large step to get into Eat Deli at the entrance. The service was fine. Getting items ordered in a good time. There is free WiFi. There is a specials boards too and normally have a soup of the day on.
I live locally and am so happy to have such a great place nearby. Their food is absolutely delicious, really great coffee, lovely staff and the best rocky road I've ever had! You sometimes have to wait a wee while for your food, but it's always worth it. Would highly recommend!Food: 5/5
Hadn't been in Eat for years. Delighted to say that it's still as good as ever. Stornoway Stack was delicious. The chilijam was an inspired touch. Recommended.Food: 5/5
Visited this place based on google reviews. Absolutely loved it. Pleasant atmosphere, amazing staff and delicious food. A must visit whether you are craving for a revitalising coffee or want to stuff on a brunch plate.Food: 5/5
Love the food here. I took a member of staff here for our lunch. She thoroughly enjoyed it. I would say it is quite costly, but fresh, tasty ingredients, well prepared and homemade cakes make it worth an extra expense. Parking: Hard to find along the strip. There are a couple of car parks local too it.
Went for breakfast here on a Sunday morning mainly because the cafe across the road was unexpectedly closed. The positives are the food is quite tasty and fresh. The downsides are that the menu options for breakfast are somewhat sparse and unusual. For example there isnt a full cooked breakfast available, "Eggs Benedict" is made with pulled pork rather than ham / bacon and "Eggs Caledonia" is made with cooked salmon rather than cold smoked salmon as would be expected. The value for money for the amount of food you get isnt very good either compared to other cafes nearby.
A great menu, friendly service and brilliant food make this a nice wee place that I've visited quite a few times for breakfast and lunch. They also have a good take-away selection as well as the sit-in option for grab and go. My only reservation is that can be just a shade pricy, with a lunchtime salad coming in around £9.50 Jan 2019. Having said that, breakfast of eggs on toast or bacon buttie is only a fiver served all day. Altogether a much more relaxed and complete option than the chain eateries a few doors down.
Nice little cafe friendly staff was shocked at the tiny cup for my latte..but all in all very pleasant new years eve brunch with old buddy and nice location ànd nice drive also ..
I stopped for a coffee and ended up having my brunch there. Staff were polite and great and the food was amazing.
