Great place plenty of woodland walking and can also look out over the mersey. 2 pubs the easthem ferry and the 'Tap' and also 2 tea rooms with both having a great selection and friendly staff. Plenty of parking both on the road if you go early enough or in the car parks. Great for your doggy friend to run through the trees and burn of that energy. Has a visitor centre an the old stables converted to a toilet block. The walk is mainly flat and has wide pathways so is good for the elder generation to get around.
Great walk with plenty of parking at all entrances. Perfect for dog walkers and children, many historic features and beautiful sight line, flora and fauna all year round. Be sure to check out The Tap for food or drinks.
But miserable on a winters day, but imagine it would be lovely in the summer. Dog friendly with public toilets, interesting things to see with information boards, and a nice view of Liverpool in the distance.
I cycled through Eastham Country Park. This is truly one of the Wirral’s hidden gems. There is a wooded area which runs alongside the Mersey. There is lots of history in the area as there was once an ancient ferry crossing. The views from the park are fantastic. You can see out to Liverpool and, in the other direction, upriver towards Runcorn. The park is great for cycling and walking. There are some pubs and an ice cream shop which only seems to open during the summer. The park is quite accessible by train and isn’t too far from Birkenhead. Picnic area: Plenty of nice spots to have something to eat with some excellent views of the Mersey
Love Eastham, have been coming here since I was a baby 46 years It's a shame the rangers station hasn't been open to look at the bird hide for years and the bear pit is no longer accessible, this is why I dropped a point. There are mainly responsible dog owners, although I was jumped on by a dog on my last visit. Sometimes it can be dodge the doggy but there is a large area which is fenced and gated dog free zone if you want to let the kids run round without fear of being jumped up at or falling in pooh. There is a nice cafe if you can get a table, the public house The Tap is a great bar or just sit with an ice cream out of the old ticket office looking over to liverpool watching ships pass and planes landing.
If you think of going out for long walks long chat or something else I highly recommend visiting this place is so beautiful to spend time with kids .. see the beautiful beach birds play or do picnic
Quite like this place. Good for walking and taking photos, or having a beer.
Nice walk through the park great views, worth a visit! Dog-friendliness: Nice place to walk your dog
Very nice place, close to Ellesmere Port fantastic forest with big variety of trees, ideal for sunny day wonderful views over the Mersey River Eastry.Ice cream available too.
What can I say? Wonderful park to walk, run, jump and skip. We use it to walk our puppy as do countless others. Dedicated dog free area fair size if you choose to avoid them. The bear pit is nothing spectacular at the moment. A tree has fallen in it I think. The bluebell woods was amazing whilst the bluebells were in bloom. My favourite bit in the beech groove, which is spectacular. Cathedralesque. Fabulous woodland walks. Walk over the cliffs looking at and beyond the Mersey. Mimosa cafe on site, which is slightly over priced. But on a sunny day, the pub overlooking the Mersey is perfect for refreshing. Access to three playing fields. Car park is pay and display @ £1 per hour maintained by the council. Most seem to park for free on the street. It is a wonderful urban oasis to get lost in for the two hours or so. Longer with a picnic would be wonderful on a sunny day.
