I hadn't eaten here in a while so I decided to take my partner when we were in the area. When we arrived we seen the prices outside, the prices have gone up over the past few years as expected. It is more expensive than some other places in the area for lunch, but I really enjoy the food here. Once we entered we were placed on a table that seated 2 people and we were able to order drinks. The drinks arrived quickly to the table, they are not refillable. The food is all you can eat and you are able to go up and choose whatever you like. There is a large variety of food available. All the food tasted lovely and was very hot. There are also starters, main and dessert available. The restaurant has lovely decoration all around and even plays relaxing whilst you eat. We only went for lunch so part of the restaurant wasn't in use. My only problem with my experience was the toilets. They do offer a disabled bathroom, this is amazing. However the ceiling is very low so this may be a problem for carers. Also the main toilets I didn't feel were very clean as there were a few spiders dotted around. I would gladly visit again when I am next in the area.
It's a pleasant place. Clean all you can eat restaurant, decorated with a Eastern Chinese theme. Plenty of dishes available, with western food available too so even if someone in the group isn't into Chinese they can still find something. Plenty of starters, mains and desserts including ice cream, cake and fruit. The issue though is freshness. Its really questionable with some dishes. I tried a good selection from every area start, main, pud. All of it tasted fine. Unfortunately, I was sick later on at home. Surprised my partner, as my stomach is usually sound. I'd probably go back for a party or something but otherwise I'll stick to a pub meal. If I go again I'll be weary. I will say drink prices are a complete rip off three thirty for a diet pepsi. Also, Saturday evening prices are steep. Mon-Thurs are a little better but if you want good value go for the lunch buffet, served from noon till 3pm
Brilliant seasoning, delicious , tasty food in large selection. Definitely my favourite buffet restaurant. Highly recommended , good value for money, clean and tidy place, friendly staff
Nice fresh food alot of things to choose from. Not expensive at all.. desserts were a bit disappointing. Clean . Friendly staff. Parking over the road. Many tables an space
Very clean excellent selection of food no complaints will be going again
Decided to try this Chinese buffet restaurant........what a mistake!!!! The restaurant itself is nice enough, clean, plenty of seating, but I think they concentrated too much on the look of the place over the quality of food and service. The ribs are tiny and were cold when I went. The soup is so watered down it was near impossible to get any flavour out if it. The sweet and sour chicken looked like it hadn't even seen a cooker, it was so light in colour......and again no flavour. In fact, it was difficult to say any of the food had any taste, it was all so bland. I have been to many Chinese buffet places and so many have less choice but so much better-quality food and are so much better value for money. This place is extremely expensive for the quality of the food. I think it's a restaurant that concentrates on quantity rather than quality. Oh, and this is also the only Chinese buffet place that doesn't have chopsticks if you want them, now I understand not everyone can eat with them or likes them but surely it should be an option in a Chinese restaurant! I would seriously avoid this restaurant if you are looking for a nice meal out. I'll never return to this restaurant, and I will make sure no one I know goes either.
We dined here on a busy Saturday evening, having made a reservation for our party of 4 adults and 3 children. After a short wait we were seated and ordered drinks. To be fair, drinks service was a little slow, but it was busy. The choice and quality of the food on offer was excellent. Well presented and always hot. The photos from other reviews are an accurate reflection of what is being offered. Overall a very pleasant dining experience the only minor gripe being upon settling the bill. The restaurant policy is that children over the age of 10 are charged the adult price. There is a small sign on the wall apparently. Fair enough. I would recommend this venue for Chinese Buffet dining and we would definitely consider eating here again.
Our first time visiting since before lock down back in the Pandemic. Food was always nice and plentiful, staff always polite and welcoming. I've never needed to use the Toilets whilst we've been there, and if 8d have had to use the toilet before I ate I possibly wouldn't have stayed. Toilets were dirty, rubbish all over the floor skirting covers coming off and they didn't look like they had been cleaned in months! Sorry but we won't be coming back such a shame as always used to like this place
It's a while since my last visit & i surprised to find them open on boxing day. I'd had enough of the Christmas norm so in i went for a no rush meal. The food was excellent, lots of variety & so tasty. The place was very clean/ safe & the staff were friendly & efficient. I had a really good meal/time and a welcome escape from Christmas. Thank You East Orient I wont be leaving it so long before my next visit. 5 stars as always.
Been to the all you can eat buffet tonight with friends and booked a table for 9. I had read some reviews before we attended and can honestly say that some folk must be extremely fussy... each and everyone of us that attended tonight have come away totally satisfied with the service, quality of food and certainly top class choice. A credit to the staff that cleared our plates away while we returned for extra helpings from the buffet. Will we return? Most definitely. Well done to all the staff and keep up the good work. To anyone whom has not tried those place.. give it a go as I'm sure it will not disappoint you.
