Well, we paid a visit to Skegness and made a genuine mistake while using the pay and display car park up by the life boat. It is the first time in a long time we've used this carpark and the method of payment has change. We, very honestly inputted a blue badge holder ticket , but paid instead of a non blue badge and parked in a normal space. Speaking to a parking officer at the time, he said this does frequently happen and that we are not the first but we could contest the ticket. Makes me wonder how easy it is to use the pay and display machine.... We did contest but we're denied instantly and with no compassion or empathy for our honest mistake. I would strongly advise to avoid these types of car parks and find an alternative avoiding any penalties. Shame on you East Lindsey Council !

They do not answer phone.
For the first time I realised why residents in certain areas of the UK have resentment towards their council. I believe it would suitable for the council to reconsider their methods. That a complaint is monitored and closed once resolved. This passing on, of responsibility to another council, department or association with no progress then when you first started. Just because you've taken the call or replied to the email doesn't make it a positive statistic for East Lindsey Council next review/audit.
