Having booked the removers for 12.30pm they turned up at 11.19am, I explained we were not ready for them to which I was told they would wait in the van... an hour and 11 minutes later they came in and started removing furniture. There was no plan or structure to how they emptied the house, one minutes they were taking stuff from upstairs and then the next downstairs but I thought they know what they are doing so I left them. They proceeded to moan about the amount of stuff we had to which my husband replied 'well yes that's why we are paying you to move it and not doing ourselves'. > > > After an hour or so of painfully watching them slowly carry one item at a time most of which was from the drive as my husband was becoming increasingly frustrated so was actually moving boxes and furniture to the drive to try and save time and effort, they advised my husband that they would not be able to move the wardrobe in the main bedroom as it was too big. If you recall I had emailed before moving day to see if dismantling of furniture would be included in the price and was told yes. I informed the remover of this to which we were told that this would take an extra 3 hours for the wardrobe to be dismantled and put back together at the new house thus costing a further £150 plus VAT! 3 hours to dismantle a wardrobe and put back up was absolutely ridiculous so my husband advised he would take it apart... He got a call at 3.30pm to advise we could go and collect the key so with the wardrobe half dismantled my husband rushed off to collect the keys... The removers had removed the majority of furniture in the house by this time so decided to go and sit in the van (for the 3rd time as they had also at 1.30 decided to stop for abit of lunch) and wait for my husband to return to continue to dismantle the wardrobe. When my husband returned to find that they again were sat in the van with numerous items sat on the drive such as large stand up fan which i had bought downstairs myself and with the wardrobe still waiting to be dismantled, my husband asked why they hadn't done it he was told 'oh yea I suppose I could have'! Not great customer service! > > > Upon arrival at our new house my husband clearly asked the removers to place all big bedroom furniture upstairs and the boxes in the dining room due to new carpet arriving the following day.. Well your removers clearly don't understand the layout of a house as we have wardrobes in the dinning room downstairs and boxes clearly marked 'Kitchen' in the upstairs bedroom. > > > Overall I am extremely unhappy with the service we received and I have attached pictures of the damage your removers made to the old house including smashing a light fitting and denting the wall. I have summarised in full below all the issues and I expect someone to get in touch with me as all in all due to the painfully slow process cost me £430 in total (excluding the cost of the damage) > > > Removers rude and extreme odour of BO- extremely bad attitude and proceeded to moan the whole time they were there. > > After having over 1 hours and 10 mins break due to arriving early then proceeded to take another lunch break whilst I was paying- this was highlighted by my husband to which he was told 'we have to have a break, we aren't slaves' surely they could have eaten their lunch in the hour and 10 minutes they were sat waiting to start > > Removers ignored clear instructions as to where the furniture was to go in the new house > > Tried to charge us for a full hour > > Smashed a light fitting and dented wall (pics attached) no apology offered and when my husband asked him what are we going to do about this he was ignored and the remover walked off- I notified someone when I called up Friday evening to which i was told someone would be in touch... it is now Wednesday and no one has contacted me. > > A lot of furniture suffered extreme scratches using your removers, I understand that this can occur but there was no care or attention taken with my property.
