Matt has been working with me for the last two years and has helped me make such great progress in structuring my work and making me more confident with my approach to university. My sessions with him are laid back which has been really helpful as I often have anxiety with academic 1-2-1s. Overall he has really helped my understanding of my dyslexia and the methods I can use to work with it.
Had support from Liz for two years and I truly couldn’t have got through my academics without her. With support with the specific writing has made me notice my mistakes help me improve on my weaknesses but also gain confidence. On top of this I have support on my time keeping and stress levels that has always been a running issue. The support and running of the foundation is brilliant has helped me massively to achieve what I have and will forever be grateful.
I have had support from Tracy for two years. And she has been very helpful and made my academic studies less stressful and enjoyable. With Tracy’s support I have seen where I can improve and where my strengths are. I’m forever thankful for the support I have been given and will take the advice with me for the rest of my life.
I First met Dan from dyslexia foundation in my second year of university and since then I have gone from strength to strength with the work I was submitting. He helped me change the way I think about the tasks at hand and has really helped with my dyslexia. I have just finished my degree and really feel Dan's help played a massive part in the results I gained.
The Dyslexia Foundation in Liverpool has been amazing! The support received from your tutor from one to one sessions by proof reading your work, helping you to become organized but also the support with transitioning to university. I would like to say a massive thank you to Tracy who has supported me from day one from starting to my undergraduate and now my masters degree, by helping me keep on track with my work, many hours of proof reading and also when i felt like like giving up, encouraging me to carry on. I really don't think i would of applied for my masters if it wasn't for her or the foundation! This service deserves more than five stars.
The Dyslexia Foundation was of great support when I was diagnosed in my final year of University in Liverpool. I had one to one sessions with Tracy, who helped with my dissertation and was such a positive influence both in my work and as a person. Having Tracy gave me great confidence and made the process so smooth, as I was able to research and write independently, then in my session have her help proofread, go over sentence structures and any general dissertation queries I had which made writing it a very positive enjoyable experience. She was very approachable, kind and professional and went above and beyond to help and support me through the final months of my degree. I am very grateful to have had her!
Alyson honestly helped me so much in the last year with my work and without her I don’t think I would have able to pass the year. She honestly talked me through every reference , every line and any work I had and gave me the confidence I needed to be able to do the best I could . She was there for me whenever I needed her help and support and she is honestly the best I could have ever asked for and more. She’s also given me many skills I will continue with for the rest of my life and she has made my time with University work a million times better.
I properly got diagnosed with dyslexia when I came to university and it was a shocked moment really to know that I could’ve had help earlier in life but didn’t, the help and support I gained from this foundation is one of a kind and without the support students like myself would feel a bit lost. The dyslexia foundation has been such an amazing group that have helped me for four years in Liverpool John Moores university. From first year to third year I had Lisa as my mentor and she was an amazing character that helped me develop my own style of learning to tackle coursework, revision and exams. Third year and fourth year Alyson became my mentor, tutor and friend who helped me through tough times which included university and my own personal challenges. She’s been such an amazing help to me and without her I don’t think I would’ve succeeded in every aspect of my degree to the extent that I did and for that, thank you.
Nicky Steele at dyslexia foundation supported me on my educational journey while studying both my undergraduate and postgraduate at Liverpool John Moore’s University. Nicky supported me in planning for my assessments and proof reading my work. Nicky’s support meant that I made a time plan for when all the units of work had to be completed, and as a result I avoided stressing out over my deadlines and always met targets. Nicky’s support completely changed my educational experience and I am so grateful for all she has done.
Tracy Wilson has been a HUGE help for me throughout my first and second year. With COVID too she has helped me incredibly. I am so grateful for all the effort she put in with me, to get my work completed to a much better standard. She has enabled me to feel much more confident with starting work and I look forward to working with her next year. Thank you so much for all the help. The foundation has really helped me!
