It's a lovely test day and I PASSED with 2 minors only. Chris, my examiner hopefully I got his name correctly came over as pleasant, friendly and gave me confidence to drive and I felt comfortable rather than pressured. If you do get him as your examiner, just focus and listen carefully.
I passed today with the examiner Chris. I cannot thank Chris enough by having such a calm aura, he really made me feel at ease from the moment we started. He was extremely professional but helped calm a lot of nerves by making general conversation. He is a brilliant examiner, and anybody who goes with Chris I can guarantee he will calm your nerves! I hope Chris is acknowledged at what a great examiner he is. Thankyou Chris!
After 2 unsuccessful attempts, I passed at Lichfield with Ash. He made me feel comfortable from the get go which instantly calmed my nerves, I cannot fault the guy and would highly recommend this examiner to anyone very professional and an absolute credit to the test centre. Thanks Ash!
I had my 4th test today at lichfeild test centre and I had the instructor Chris he was brilliant couldnt fault him! being a nervous driver he talked me through and made general convosation which put me at ease by miles and finally passed my practical driving he helped me endlessly was such a genuine person and made my driving experience a pleasure Unfortunately my past 3 driving tests wasn’t a pleasure with the joys of kev he was sent out to fail me from the get go laughed when you answered a question and generally just made everything very uncomfortable and nerving wasn’t interested in you and just set you to fail from the get go even though I had no minors but just failed us from a matter that I couldn’t handle because the car behind overtook us which would of been speeding however I was seen as the hazard for being too slow however if I went quicker I would of been speeding So thankyou Chris for turning my world inside and out I wish you all the best you was an absolute amazing instructor
Had a test twice here. First test was with a lovely examiner i cannot remember his name but he covers he doesn't work there full time, so nice and understanding. Second time i had my test with Ian, very miserable and patronising guy. Not sure if it was a racial issue but it seemed like it upon reflection. When going out to read the number plate he made me read it twice as he apparently didn’t understand/hear me. Then entering the car he kept repeating his name as if I didn’t understand. Then we came out the test centre he just spoke very bluntly and huffed and puffed the whole time, just an extremely unprofessional man and clearly hates his job he has said this previously. When approaching a one way road he said “you do know this is a one way road” in a very patronising way. When i did my forward bay he got out the car and overly observed my position i was in the middle of the bay. Just a miserable guy and failed me for things that are extremely questionable. He needs to be investigated as he clearly does this on purpose. If you get Ian I am sorry in advance because driving tests are already nerve racking as they mean alot to people so people like Ian do not help at all. My instructor has said he is always like this. I will not recommend this test centre to anyone.
The examiner Kevin strikes again. Just failed my daughter after first asking why she was in her own car and not the instructors. He did the same with my son a few months ago. Honestly, this guy needs sacking or shooting. What an absolute joke
Had my test today at Lichfield test centre and passed . The gentleman who passed me was so polite made me feel very comfortable , I would recommend this test center to anyone . Staff are amazing and really professional 5 stars
My 8th attempt to have a driving test, and the 1st time in Lichfield test centre and finally got a pass! My special thanks to the examiner Kelvin Jackson who was being very friendly and supportive during the exam to ease my anxiousness away! With all my last 7 attempts in two other centres, I would definitely recommend this one without reservation.
Today I had an awful experience with an instructor called Richard. I have driving experience more than 6 years in other country with the licence from a non-EU country, so unfortunately I can't change it to the UK one. I learned here. I made 40 driving lessons with an instructor. Also more than 30 hours driving with an profesional driver next to me. Now, my experience at Lichfield Driving Test Centre: I arrived to the test centre in a completely new location for me, as I live 30 miles away. Did a great job during the entire test which was about 40 min. During the test Mr Richard didn't take any notes. After the test had finished, we arrived back to the test Centre, he just invented some faults and told them to my instructor. I think he is racist and unprofessional. He needs to be investigated because his decision was unjustified and unfair!
Horrible experience with my first test, I had an examiner called IAN and before he stepped through the door he had a face like thunder, then proceeded to ask for my provisional license which I then gave him and he looked at it and looked at me and said “is that even you? The power of makeup it doesn’t even look like you” which then made me very anxious on my test and I felt like he verbally abused me and it was my first test and I was nervous before it anyway and throughout the test he hardly spoke and was very cold. During the test, he asked me to do a forward bay park half way through the bays when there was hardly any which I did and a car passed me before I straightened up and went around the corner of the carpark and as I was reversing out to straighten myself up I was more or less straight anyway that car then decided to reverse into a space that was 2 spaces to the right of me and I was the one that had to stop when the other car could clearly see my reverse lights and I had waited for them to pass prior and that is what failed me. Honestly I feel sorry for you if you get IAN.
