Really friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere, the staff are very accommodating with the food as when I asked for no chips or onion rings they were really happy to replace with other options.nnWe got the mega mixed grill which was amazing and VERY filling, however the only very slight let down is that twice we've asked for medium rare steak now and both times it was overcooked. Not a huge issue as it was still tasty, but I do hope they rectify this.nnAll in all great good, friendly staff and warm atmosphere, will definitely go back.
Went here for lunch with my girlfriend, daughter and my mum. The restaurant has a kids play area inside and out. I've been here a few times, food is really good, I had the scampi last time. Great for a lunch or dinner, thanks.
We had booked and it was a large table so some delays were to be expected. The restaurant was relatively busy but not full. The staff who attended to us were excellent but there was a considerable wait between ordering our food and it actually arriving at our table 45 minutes to an hour. Portion sizes for some of the dishes were very small and quite disappointing. The veggie chilli was 2/3rds just rice and the side salad that came with the steak was pitiful. The children’s meal looked more substantial than some of the mains ordered by the adult diners. On the topic of the steak ordered, it was unevenly cooked and actually quite sad looking on the plate, a bit grey.nThe burgers and steak pie were very well received, even the fussier diners enjoyed their burgers. Chips were a bit dry, as though they’d been out a while.nWe did order desserts, following placing our order though, we were then informed that half of the desserts on the menu were actually unavailable due to a menu change happening mid-week and the kitchen had in fact run out of three of the desserts ordered. This was incredibly disappointing.nWe have dined at The Dunnichen Stone on several different occasions since it opened and this is by far the poorest experience we’ve had there. It’s normally great, traditional pub fare but this experience has left me considering other venues for our family gatherings and celebrations in the future. It really was not at it’s best.
Used this marstons as a half way house for a family get together. A table for 12 was booked ahead. Great service by all staff. Ideal for what we wanted.nKatelyn our waitress was very friendly and was great for the orders as it was a large group.
Amazing food and such friendly staff, 100% will be back. I got the mixed grill and it was 10/10 everything cooked perfect and my girlfriend got the cheese burger which she really enjoyed. And we got a 40 percent off voucher for main meals so it was definitely worth it.
