I've been coming to this library since I was 5. And I love it. Proper library. Great staff and a real asset to the community it serves.
Without a shadow of a doubt an excellent library despite the cuts to staff. Those that man the barricades are some of the most friendly, helpful and professional people I have seen. The library stock is better than all the other council library's in the West Midlands and anything they don't have can usually be ordered very quickly.
Lovely library with helpful staff..the only reason I haven't given it 5* is because I think the library should extend its opening hours now back to what they were before covid including opening for a few hours on a Sunday.

I have seen some Members of Staff at Libraries with Attitude but this takes the Biscuit in My Opinion as Some of the Staff are Obnoxious and if You are using the Computers downstairs they brush past You & catch Your Chairs without Apologising!, Upstairs Computer Room is Like The Jeremy Kyle Show!. Response to the Owner Responding to My Review: I have made Complaints before & nothing seems to Change!, I have Left a Review to give My thoughts to other Users of what I think about this place so other's can either take notice or not at their Disgression!, These Review Sites are People's Opinions whether that be Good, Bad or Average!. I have been a Critic of this Library but now they have Re-arranged the Computers Downstairs which in My Opinion makes them much Better!, & they have got some new seats/Chairs as well so I might increase by a Star or 2!.Which I have done!.
Old historic building. Books for all ages. Music lending library MP3. Opera, pop, rock, language etc. Reference books. Library computers to find family tree or browse the internet for school related research. Free to use in opening hours. Just book a computer a few days earlier.
Extortionate prices for overdue books, I was told I had a £20.00 fine, seriously? It is not as though the books were damaged on their return! Also 50p for a colour print out for 1 sheet? The cost of the ink would be convered in a handful of sheets. Should be ashamed that a place which people need to use to find our more information is so expensive, ran more like a business. The staff are also quite bitter and petty.
I have spent many days in this library it is in my opinion the best library ever, it has a cosy atmosphere and the staff are very polite and helpful, you can find each book according to the categories they are placed in.
Use here regularly to study Love it
