Set right on the edge of the loch with great views. Food was very good with an excellent menu. It was very busy, luckily we had booked earlier in the morning. They also have a very nice coffee shop adjacent, both overlooking the loch. Very pleasant staff. Would recommend Parking: Plenty of parking available during our visit in September.
We had a lovely brunch today, well presented and served by well-meaning, polite staff. The restaurant looks gorgeous, tables well appointed with amazing views. The only niggle was that their cappuccino has only one shot and we were charged an extra £1 for a double shot, making one coffee the best part of £5.
Sat out the back facing the Loch on Saturday. Service was fantastic by the staff at the outside bar. Had a lovely sandwich and some drinks. Well worth what you pay for thanks to lovely staff and stunning views. Great place to go, a must if you are in the area. Kid-friendliness: Yes. Parking: Plenty of parking but be aware in a nice day, half of Scotland come to the Loch. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.
Great food-seafood sharing platter for 2 to start with-a huge portion for 2 at a very reasonable price. Mains also very reasonably priced and great quality. Dessert-banoffee pie sundae was decadent. 4 stars for service as it was very busy, and often kept waiting for long times, but otherwise would definitely go againFood: 5/5
We popped into Duck Bay Restaurant when visiting the Loch Lomond and we are very impressed. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and price is very reasonable. The portion size is generous. And service is attentive. I would definitely recommend the Seafood Grill. We also had the seafood platter but we feel that it could be better in quality. The tempura prawns are a bit too salty and the herrings don't taste nice. Overall, a 9 out of 10! Will be back again. Thank you!
Went to tea room waited to be seated for about 15 minutes, two ladies at counter, not one of them acknowledged we were standing there I understand it was busy but could have acknowledged we were there. We gave our order, tea coffee and juice came , sat for ten minutes still no cakes, eventually had to go up and ask girl, her curt reply was they were just coming, after about another 5mins cakes came. With no apology for wait. Tea room has lovely decor and clean but unfortunately I think customer service is not so good.
Had a meal here on a very busy Thursday afternoon. We hadn't booked but the waiter got us a table and made us feel very welcome. The food was absolutely delicious. And the staff even though very busy was very friendly and polite. The prices were very reasonable. Could not fault this place in anyway.
Popped in while out on a drive at the weekend, it was a dreich day so outdoor seating was a no. We went into Bobby's for a hot drink and snack - cake . The atmosphere was lovely and relaxing, busy as it was early afternoon. Tea, juice and cake was purchased and the costing where slightly more that what I'd pay elsewhere but I put this down to the location. We had a nice rest before heading on out way
Have visited many times. The service in the restaurant can be a bit slow and the staff aren't always the friendliest. The views, however, are stunning and so a daytime visit is a must. We used to like visiting in the evening but since they removed the fishtanks it doesn't feel as special or unique once the views can't be seen and so the price of the food doesn't feel worth it past sundown.
This hotel is great. Staff are friendly, landscapes are so beautiful and some rooms have a view to the lake. Peaceful walks. Restaurant was great. Afternoon teas. The only thing that was a bit of a let down was the fact that there is no place where to store your luggage temporarily before check in or after check out. If you are not driving your own car there is really not possibility to leave the suitcase behind and go for a walk while you wait.
