Wonderful seafood for my birthday! Definitely worth a visit.
Luckily managed to get a table at short notice on a Thursday evening and couldn't have been happier with our meal. The food was delicious, we drank some lovely wines and the staff were really attentive and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be back when next in Harrogate.
My wife and I had a special weekend away and enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this superb fish restaurant. Lovely food. Friendly, helpful staff. What an experience!

Wonderful meal...I thought the fish pie was great. Very nice atmosphere and the staff were lovely. Definitely recommend.
Allegedly, many years ago this was a public house run by Mr and Mrs Drummond. Rumour has it that Mrs Drummond was not an attractive lady. Indeed she looked a bit like a monkey. Behind her back she was referred to as ' the Drummond monkey'. And this is how the Drum and Monkey got its name.
Came upon the restaurant by chance at lunchtime, had the platter so fresh and tasty. Oysters were some of the best I have ever had. We will be going back, thank you to the very friendly and attentive staff who looked after us.
