The Salt House Kitchen is one of the best food destinations in Sunderland, for both breakfast and Sunday lunch. The cafe also boasts a wide selection of homemade desserts and scones for eating in or taking away which is refreshed often. The food is always outstanding and the service is always friendly and attentive. A must visit in the Seaburn area.
Wonderful meals from a warm & friendly staff. Lovely restaurant with good seats & a nice fire to keep you warm on a cold January day. All 3 of us really enjoyed our meals, Scampi, Steak & Ale pie & beer battered fish that my Dad could not finish !! All 3 meals + 4 soft drinks for £50. Well worth it.
Decent full English but only one sausage. Atmosphere , decor and service all spot on didn't even wait 25 mins for my food but it was a full English so probably already prepared On sea front so parking bit poop. Parking: Poor parking as on sea front. Park at Morrisons 3 minute walk
2nd Vist here and Excellent again. Breakfast is up there as one of the best I've had Quality, great atmosphere!. Will be recommending! Food: 5/5
Been at hospital all morning with a family member so ordered a Sunday lunch from here. It was just perfect, one beef and one lamb. Ample to eat and plenty of variation, i dont think they can improve it. All in all a great Sunday lunch.
I enjoyed my visit to Salt House Kitchen. The only thing that I was surprised with was the portion of the food. You would expect two sausages in a big breakfast, not just one. The bread used with the special breakfast is amazing. The atmosphere is lovely and if there is no table available you can wait at the sofa area until there is one.
I wouldn't recommend that place! I have been there a few times and I always found it a bit expensive but I liked the location and the views so I always came back there..till now! Last time I went there I ordered a cappuccino and avocado toast...what a big mistake.. the cappuccino tasted really really bad! And then I waited one hour for my toast ... and when I was finally being served ... I god only 2 small slices of bread with avocado on top with some spices! It was a sandwich not a TOAST! Not to mention I wanted one hour and the waitress did not even apologise. Plus the toast was more than £7..£7 for 2 small slices of bread with avocado and spices on top.. The photos are from other times I have been there!
Lovely Sunday lunch, very hot. Lovely gravy, moist meat, great cracknell. Fab cakes, cosy atmosphere and great service.
Went here for a family birthday breakfast. You need to book as if was very busy. Food was great with good vegan options.Food: 5/5
A group of 6 of us were staying in Seaburn and decided to try here. Beautiful setting, top notch food. So good we booked for breakfast the next day. Shout out to the staff whom were very knowledgeable about the vegan food on the menu.
