Myself and my wife had been saving for a long time for a new mattress. We went to Dreams in Horsham and carefully tried out a number of beds. This part of the experience was good, the staff were friendly and fairly knowledgeable and we had a good feeling about the company. Unfortunately that is where the good experience ended. The mattress was delivered, I say delivered, more like thrown at me through my front door by a very disinterested driver. When I asked if he wouldn't mind taking it upstairs to the bedroom, the driver shouted to his colleague who was sat out in the van, who responded by shouting back, "I can't f*ing park here". He said this very loudly in earshot of many children in the street. The driver left the van in the middle of the road to come and help and the two marched into the house (not taking shoes off or wearing any protectors) and threw the mattress into the bedroom. I was so shocked at the time I did not say anything and the guys left. Things went from bad to worse once we took the packaging off the mattress. We were so excited to try the mattress out so we put it on our bed and put the protector on it as we had been advised. We lay down and to our huge disappointment the mattress was nothing like the one we had tried in the shop. It it unbelievably hard and you can feel the springs poking through. Not at all what you would expect from an £800 mattress. We did not sleep on the mattress - as it would be impossible to sleep on such an uncomfortable thing. Over the past fews days we have spent over 2 hours on the phone to customer service who are refusing to refund us for selling us something that is nothing like the one we tried out. It is unbelievable. I cannot understand how companies like this operate, the experience has been so distressing for us. Dreams say that we have to keep the mattress for 30 days then we can exchange it for a different one (but we still have to pay for it to be picked up!). We cannot sleep on this mattress for 30 days - all we want is our money back and nothing to do with this sham company. I would be advise anyone to be very wary of shopping at dreams.

I bought a new bed and sofa bed from Dreams and the experience from beginning to end in store was absolutely fantastic. Had a great range of Mattresses, bed frames and pillows and would highly recommend :-)

Really poor experience. Came with the intention to buy, having already seen before the product I wanted, and actually changed my mind in shop cause of the arrogance of the staff member.

Great members of staff. Shame the prices are a bit to high. Also too out of town now.
