Easy access to where we needed to go, reasonable price, cheap parking for city hotel. Poor amenities in the bathroom, not enough shower gel for 2 people. Bed comfy. Staff at reception, especially in the night, are really accommodating and helpful. Breakfast poor - food dried out.
The room itself was quite nice. Small, but okay for what it was needed for. However, no hot water when you want it, not always. Stayed for 3 nights, not once was I asked how my stay was, if I needed anything. All the lamp shades were lose, the bathroom tap leaked. The view out of my window was of a flat rooftop littered in shoes, beer cans, fag butts and general rubbish. A few of the light bulbs didn't work. This is meant to be a 4 star hotel, I'd say it was more like a 3, being generous. Stayed in room 215.
We stayed at The Dragon Hotel 2 years ago and things weren't good then and they are worse now. Only one of the two tiny lifts working. The poor chamber maids with their large trolly can't fit in with one guest. As an elderly lady I am choosing to climb the stairs to the 4 floors because the lift is so slow. Breakfast is plentiful but had been sitting on the warming trays for ages, slowly congealing. Another year on, and still only a tiny lift working. Now a £10 per night charge for parking.
Rooms were a let down they need loads of work however the bed was lovely and clean. Staff were friendly at check-in and checking out. Hotel is in a good location. Near to the shops and pubs. Don't think we would stay here again though unless it's updated
The hotel is in the centre of the city the rooms was nice and clean with lots if space had plenty of storage,the view was good you could see lots of shops from the windows would go back again when visiting the area
