They're getting better! I believe that the 'group' under Patford House I presume where put into special measures or something akin to this; presumably following waves of complaints. My experience over the last 4 months or so has been markedly better, the phones are often answered in 10 minutes or so though I've had a few go past the 20 minute mark, and appointments aren't weeks and weeks away. Prescription requests are picked up on email pretty quickly, and passed over to the pharmacy equally fast too. You do get promoted to use the system online checker a lot mind you - and I often find the result from that is "you need to see a GP", which was the reason for calling. It's great to feel like you can rely on your local practice now, and not have to bother 111 or a walk-in centre. Keep up the great work folks, us patients really do need you, and we also appreciate how much pressure you must be under!
Absolutely shocking surgery. The staff are rude and treat you like dirt. The level of respect they have is shocking. Recently tried to get an appointment for my 6 month old, was promised a call back as it was urgent, I had to call them back to chase and was then told they didn't need to call me back as I'm not in the medical profession. The manager there is also rude and incompetent, her lack of empathy is disgusting. They're solution is always a call back whichever never happens, or a phone appointment. Shocking
I'd only give half a star if possible. The running of this place is a joke which is a shame as the doctors and nurses are amazing. I don't see the point in them having a phone line spent hours trying to call then get an answer for the phone tobe put straight down makes you give up and not bother at all I feel the many many receptionist they have let this doctors down and find it hard to believe a phone cannot be answered so disappointing so you try to message online and that takes ages for a response to ive walked into the the doctors in the past with my phone calling them to be greater by 2 receptionist having a chat about there own lives so difficult to understand why phones can't be picked up
This surgery used to be a such a wonderful place and the systems on place were very easy to access and getting appointments etc was always managed well. Unfortunately since moving across to be part of the Patford House Partnership the quality has diminished rapidly. The system online messages don’t always get read and the way you are treated as a patient is unacceptable. An example being messages sent over a four day period to gain access to medication only to be told I would need an appointment, even though I had already been seen about the exact issue days before. I am saddened by the way this surgery has changed and would only hope it can improve.
Just wanted leave a review about my daughters care who is one. She has always been so well looked after by the doctors and I’ve found the they will see her same day if needed, even if fitting her in at the end of their busy day. I’m very thankful for the care she’s received from doctors and nurses.
Had a telephone appointment with Doctor, very pleased with support from doctor and arranged follow on appointment with physio and was assisted with x ray booking at GWH So pleased with outcome considering the pressure NHS are under.
I’m not even sure if it deserves this one star to be honest. This is not a complaint about the doctors!!! I waited 20 mins on the first call and gave up then decided to try again later that day only to wait another 25 mins to get answered to be told that she couldn’t open the book for the following week and that a manager would call me back well 3days later nothing so I go to the surgery to try to make an appointment which by the way is what the doctor asked me to do was meet by an miserable looked lassie I made a complaint about the call on the previous Wednesday and she had said that the manager was not even told so basically didn’t bother anyway she said I was booked in this Thursday for a telephone call well loan behold Thursday came no phone call well I was not impressed so goes in and was shocked by the Managers rudeness and just was not interested in what I had to say at all did not apologies in the slightest ,she was too worried about seeing the people that was booked in that came in behind me. I did get an appointment for the following Monday but an elderly client that needs my help will have to be missed because of there incompetence to do there job properly. I really am very sad at how I’ve been treated this passed week it seems to me they are picking and choosing who sees the doctor and I’ve really lost trust in the front staff of this practice.
The only person in the surgery who seems to get anything done is Alex. The rest of the receptionist team I find to be rude, unprofessional, uncaring and almost robotic in their script- Thats when they even answer the phone!!! My child was unwell and I called for an urgent appointment, after 30 mins still no one had answered call so drove to the surgery. Went in and spoke to the lady on reception with him clearly unwell led sobbing on my shoulder only to be told "you must go through Doctorlink" and she turned me away. My previous doctors surgery that we are no longer in catchment for would have told u to take a seat and got us squeezed in then. Really disappointing from Beversbrook
I wouldn't even rate this surgery 1 star. Absolutely awful, if you are thinking of registering with them seriously don't waste your time. You can't get though on the phones your waiting for over an hour to get though. The GP's don't do there jobs properly, twice I haven't received a phone call from the GP when I have spoken to a receptionist that said I will receive a call that day. Twice I have been left in agony to just get on with it as know one there seems to cares. Hope this helps anyone thinking of registering. X
How very, very sad to see and hear how bad Beversbrook Medical Centre has drastically changed since its partnership merge with Patford House Surgery. Stories reaching me from my community and my family are worrying and, only confirm what the other reviews are experiencing. The doctors and nurses are working tirelessly, but something is failing the system that has caused such drastic changes that has raised serious concerns and a drop in confidence from the people it serves. I do hope it recovers. I for one want it to succeed. It has my support.
