Have been with the surgery for a long time and all staff and doctors are 1st class, however just recently prescriptions are getting rather behind for some reason. We use pharmacy 2u and regularly our requested medication from them to the surgery are for some reason delayed in being delivered or approved. This has caused some issues and we have had to contact the surgery for emergency backup tablets. Not sure what the reason is but please can this be addressed.

Despite the NHS website stating that they are accepting new patients, and their own website advising they would consider patients outside of their catchment area in my situation by 1 street advised by reception that neither are the case and they will not accept referrals outside of their catchment area, so their website needs updating to reflect this change in approach.

I’m new to this practice and have had to go a few times for seperate things and I’ve been so impressed with the kindness from doctors, nurses and other staff. I am so happy I registered here and am now not afraid to go to the doctors as I have been in the past for various reasons. Thank you so much everyone at Burdwood you are all angels and I hope you know how much your patients appreciate what you do

I've recently moved to Thatcham and cannot fault this surgery.nnAll the staff on the phones and the nurses and GPs have been so good with me and they always take time and seem to genuinely care about the patients. Even on days when I've muddled up appointments or missed one, the staff are always understanding and there is never any hostility and they have incredible patience!nnI actually feel quite lucky being with this surgery as the difference from where I've moved from is insane.

I wanted to express my thanks as I've had a few appointments at Burdwood recently and everyone of them has been a positive experience.nnI saw nurse Sue for a blood test a few weeks ago and she was so lovely. I had a telephone appointment with Dr Osborne on a Saturday! and he was great, and I had another blood test with nurse Diane Brooks today, who again was wonderful. My appointment was on time and I was in and out of the room within a matter of minutes.nnI've also found the reception staff to be very helpful whenever I've called up. I feel fortunate to be a patient at such a great practice and highly recommend Burdwood surgery.
