This is my local GP's surgery including nurses, advanced practitioners, receptionists and District nurses. I have always found them to be very pleasant, helpful and efficient. Definitely to be recommended.
I would like to thank you all for all the kindness and Care which you have shown me at a difficult time in my life, the whole Team at Amlwch Medical Centre are Amazing! to name but a few Doctor Laura, Nurse Practitioner Leanne and Abbie who is amazing at taking blood from someone who suffers Anxiety and can pass out when a blood sample is taken, those on Reception and all the Team are always very nice and eager to help in any way they can, with heartfelt appreciation I thank you all x
I took my wife here for her appointment with Dr Barbara Griffith earlier and we went in the room sat down and my wife was talking to her and when neither Dr Griffith or my wife was talking i simply said i do not know why neither of our diagnosis notes are on the system and recently i was also told in an appointment that they could not get access my diagnosis and that they only had notes on the system and it is confirmed i have my mental health issues and the fact my wife also does not have any of her details sent over from England yet as it takes up to 7 years.nnStraight away Dr Barbara Griffith did not even look at me and she put her hand up towards me like a police officer giving a stop sign and said 'NO IT IS NOT YOUR APPOINTMENT IT IS HERS'.nnI seriously nearly completely lost it as i could not belive she just done that to me.I WAS THERE SUPPORTING MY WIFE WHO HAS A BRAIN INJURY,TO BE TREATED LIKE THAT AND SPOKEN TO IN THE TONE I WAS IS SIMPLY DISGUSTING!!!nnA doctor is meant to be willing to help people, not disrespect, talk to you in a tone and further have attitude towards you and fling their hand up towards your face FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER!!!nnGP surgeries state they do not tolerate physical or verbal abuse...But yet that should work BOTH ways towards patients too!!!nI was not rude in anyway and my wife was also not happy about this and how i spoken to and treated.nnDr Barbara Griffith should be sacked and i will be looking into making a complaint, not that it will lead anywhere...She will only get a slap on the wrist and continue to be able to work there still...The world is a joke nowadays sadly!!!nnWhether this is discrimimation because i came from England is more than likely the case, but i do have welsh blood in me but people just assume things and are quick to judge. Why should it be an issue even if i did not have welsh blood in me?nnAnyway i hope she gets the sack for being a rude and disrespectful!!!
I had to move from England temporarily up to stay with my mother due to having a major broken ankle. I registered on a temporary basis, and asked them to refer me for an x-ray to see whether I could walk on it. They did so, and marked it URGENT. Because moving from the English to Welsh NHS contains many pitfalls, by doing this, I got seen very quickly, and leading to my discharge and being able to return home and not being a burden on my 81 year old mother.nExcellent service from yourselves, and Bangor hospital.
I messed up by not sending in my repeat prescription in time for my holiday. They helped me out of a hole by doing it on the same day. Thank you. David
