"Dr Funkenstein is a costume hire shop, we have hundreds of costume to hire, each costume has a hire price and they start from £15 to hire up to £50 for mascots. There is a £20 or £30 deposit, depending on costume, also on top of the hire price, which is returned when you have returned your costume. We have a standard range of costumes and also a deluxe range, a costume to suit all budgets. We stock a variety of costumes from Henry VIII to the Avengers. We have packet costumes and accessories also, we have X- hire costumes that are for sale. There is no need for appointments just pop along to our shop and have a peek inside. We offer repairs on garments which is done by our in-house seamstress. The cost of a repair is £5.00 and upwards."

Great little find. Needed something for a fancy dress and they had loads of choice, even for a larger person like me. Ended up buying a once worn costume, for less than most charge for hire. And there's an instore seamstress too. What's not to love
Absolute gem of a place. With an abundance of new and ex rentals for sale l was worried about ordering online due to size issues Went along to Dr funkenstien And out the back on the rails there is all sorts of fancy dress for sale at prices you can't walk away from. In every size. Both myself and the wife got kitted out for our trip to benidorm in November for the fiesta Highly recommended. Thanks Margaret John and nicky
