Fabulous hotel. Lovely room, spotless and tasteful decor - although it was far too warm. Not a hot day! No air con but fan provided. Still didn’t do a lot. Spa & pool area wonderful and not too busy.
A wonderful place. The spa is quiet and relaxing, the rooms are large and comfortable, and the service is consistently excellent. Not quite sure what hotel some of the other reviewers stayed at! Some mention problems with cleanliness or being thrown out of the spa after an hour - everything was spotless and we spent hours in the spa with no problems. That might be something they enforce only at the busiest times? But the pool area was quiet at all times except the hours when children were allowed in, always plenty of loungers and space in the pool, and over five visits we didn’t see a single person get asked to leave for being there too long.nnAll in all a lovely hotel, thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a little bit of luxury in Harrogate!
The room was comfortable with all the items you would expect in a hotel of this standard. Due to the recent heat, the windows were open to allow in a cool breeze. Reception and bar staff were very helpful. I also used the Spa facilities. The pool and the inside hot tub and surrounding area was clean, the Sauna and Steam Room a tad too hot for me, but clean. The spa experience was delightful, both Charlie at the Spa reception, and Ella, who was the person providing the treatment. They catered for my dietary needs with ease. Extra towels were provided on request.
No air conditioning. Rooms too hot to even get to sleep. Really dated rooms. Noisy guests from a massive wedding function, had no idea of this before booking. Hard beds. Would have had a better nights sleep in my car. Won’t be returning again. I’d avoid this place at all costs. £200+ for a room is a joke.
Looking at this hotel from the website it looks great the reality is that it's very dated and some of the carpets and decor are not great. Our room was spacious but so hot no Aircon and a small fan placed in the cupboard which honestly did nothing. The carpets were filthy in the room and it looked like someone had poured some sort of drinks over the chairs and that not cleaning it would be better.nnI would say the staff that I had interactions with were brilliant and could not fault them they were exceptional.nnThere was a wedding on the Saturday night and the noise was horrendous loud thumping music that could be felt upstairs.nnThis hotel is very overpriced at over £400 for 2 nights plus £18 parking then the prices at the bar which were closer to London prices they really do like to take as much as they can.nnVery disappointed and won't stop here again.
