Superb as ever, great menu, covering simple entry level options, plus special options if you want to push the boat out. Love the vibe of the re styled dining room. Great for a pint, light or treat meal. Coze corners for couples and larger tables for bigger groups
The service at this place is second to none. The staff are lovely and attentive and the food was really nice and well priced for the quality you get. I'd 100% recommend a visit whether you fancy a quick pint or great food!
Came here for lunch as remembered it from yrs ago when we stayed local. I was craving a roast beef dinner and to my delight it was on the menu. I was a little dubious as other comments said the beef was chewy well today it was certainly not came I thoughly enjoyed it, came with mash and a sort of roast potatoes that were very tasty and seasoned lovely, cauli, broccoli, carrots and peas a beautiful homemade yorkshire not burnt as you often find in some places. My only issue was please put more gravy on the plate yes I could of asked for more and paid, but starving and feeling under the weather I couldn't be bothered. I find this is typical at most restaurants and I don't know why they put so little on the plates. My husband had fish and chips that looked and tasted great, his only issue was mint in the mushy peas so couldn't eat them but that's personal preference I suppose.nStaff were pleasant. We both look forward to coming back and for me can't wait to try out something from the extensive menu.
Camping locally for a couple of nights- came here for dinner. It didn’t disappoint! Food was absolutely amazing. We had the duck and pork fillet, utterly delicious. Dog friendly, beautiful decor and great atmosphere: topped off with complimentary Limoncellos! What’s not to like. A must visit…
We had been staying locally and had been checking various restaurants in the area to dine at courtesy of Google maps and were blown away by the ambience at this restaurant. We hadn’t booked, but were made most welcome by the barmaid, who showed us to a table for 4.nAs you enter at the rear you are met with the phrase “gourmet restaurant” and I can wholeheartedly confirm this venue delivers a 5 star performance. All 4 of us were blown away by the quality of the food, the excellent service and the portion size. I opted for pork 4 ways with mash, and can thoroughly recommend this dish. My wife had the fish pie and she enthused it was the best ever.nPity we don’t stay nearer as it deserves further visit.
