Though my mum died in a nursing home, the support from the palliative care nurse from Dorothy House was absolutely invaluable to both me and my mum. Geoff was able to prescribe all mum needed to the end, and gave caring support and kindness to both of us. What a wonderful service.

A high level of care with very sympathetic nursing staff. It is charity funded so the staff are not stressed and overworked! Very caring environment that allows family and friends to sleep in same room as patient (2max) and offers complimentary therapies to both carers and patients for relaxation. It doesn't end there as they continue to support you at home as well. This is how small NHS hospitals used to be before all the cuts - a welcome relief from the rigours of hospital care!
