Thanks to Ian from NRT Doncaster, his colleague and also to the person taking our call on the council line. Proper 5 star people, very helpful and understanding. First interaction I had with the Doncaster council, and couldn't have gone better.
I had to go into the Council Offices at Civic Quarter, and I found the front reception staff very helpful. Using their computers was easy, and any problems I had, there was a lovely young man who was busy handling many queries was polite, informative and friendly. It did not take long to be seen and I would advise to go in early to avoid people waiting. On the whole a good experience.
My elderly father had a accident in his car due to a Unrepaired pot hole. Which resulted in a new alloy wheel and tyre. Contacted the council to inform. All evidence given and they refused to pay. Disgusting !!
It is a shame for " THE CITY of Doncaster " That there is NO SINGLE CHILDMINDER to do drop offs and pick ups from Central School Atlas Academy! There is many childminders around but not even one in the City Centre!! Such a shame for Doncaster Council who requested a City Status, but can't even provide a help needed. There must be done some improvements in this area as it is a City right ? !
Called in yesterday to obtain a permit to use my trailer at the local Tip, the Lady who served me was really really friendly, very helpful and the job was sorted while I stood there, really nice to meet people who are so helpful, the lady's colleagues another lady and gent from a security company were very Friendly as well, they are a credit to the council, my visit was Tuesday 24th, abt 4pm. I do hope that these people are passed on these review as it's nice to know that some people appreciate the work they do....
My frist time here. There was a very short queue while the guard did a quick electronic heck of our forehead temperatures with a digital thermometer. there's hand sanitiser on the way in. There's a central desk to help point you in the right direction. There's free wifi. friendly helpful staff.
our street needs new fencing and footpaths top they put new steel fences near us yet when visted told cant afford it yet heard spending 45grand on cragg and tarmacking the shop near me yet cant do our street with new paths thats over 60yrs old crumbling wooden fences but said would repaire them a joke this council can spend on them areas but not our street bunglows are 70yrs old and paths was here before them on the old homes is this council; real this is how they look after the tennantes of one there area no clear the lot of you out start a fresh
In some respects I have seen some improvements, investment and regeneration but what I really want to see is some improvement to management of litter and fly tipping. We recently got a dog so we are exploring more even our local area. I now constantly see flytipping and waste in hedge bottoms which has clearly been there years. Please will you address this. As you enter doncaster via the main routes we look dreadful. I know this isn't the councils fault at a route cause level but I don't see them driving the message to educate people. Cant you also consider reducing the street lighting after 11pm on residential streets to cut down the electricity usage, benefit the environment and aid a better night sleep. The new led light is dramatically brighter than previous unit which is just annoying now. Finally the mount of roadworks is just ridiculous now, especially the bridge near Edenthorpe.
