We had a wonderful stay, to break up a journey. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and the bed was incredibly comfortable! Dinner in the restaurant was great, as was breakfast the next day. We couldn't have wanted for anything better.Rooms: 5/5
Charming peaceful location in the Welsh countryside, about 8 min in the Car to newtown town centre. Very helpful owners. Breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh. Would highly recommend if you want some peace and quiet.

Stayed overnight in our camper van over the August Bank Holiday. Had a drink in the bar and staff arranged for us to have breakfast the following morning. Full English was great value and lovely selection. The staff couldn't do enough for us and we will definitely go back to stay again but this time we will go for an evening meal. Went down to Wales this weekend and came across a diamond in the in the rough and rugged countryside, the Dolfor inn all the staff where very friendly and helpful the room was clean and beds were comfortable facilities were spotless, Breakfast was delicious but the best was yet to come decided to have a meal in the restaurant it was a culinary delight, everything from the moment you walked in the door till you checked out was value for money, will definitely be going back
Hugely warm welcome on a cold rainy day. A really friendly high quality place that I will return to. Lovely staff. Great advice on the area and catering for my vegan diet. Nice selection of local gins for us to try. Lovely log burner and gorgeous well behaved dog. Very homely.Service: 5/5
This place is 10/10. We stayed here on the weekend as a stopover from the Holyhead Ferry. The bed was one of the comfiest beds I've slept in and the breakfast was faultless. We were worried about the noise from the pub as we have a baby with us but it was very quiet and we slept all night. Our bathroom was across the hall but we were happy as it worked out better for us that we didn't disturb our son going to bed. Lovely location and the management were just lovely. Great value for money! Really hope we make it back again soon.
By far one of the best pubs we have been to in a long while! Visited on Friday after a last minute email to book a table which they replied to within 20 minutes and managed to fit us in. Hostess was lovely, explained everything on the menu and took her time making sure we had everything we wanted. Food was stunning and really well priced too, nice big portion sizes! The bar area is dog friendly which is a major plus for us. Highly recommended visiting here if you are in the area.
We had the most amazing 3 day stay in the Stables 5 Stars , our hosts were Absolutely Fantastic, the food was delicious and the services were also great. We couldn't even fault the weather as we had full sunshine our entire stay. Highly recommend for a "couple get away". Thanks once again for making our holiday very special, we will be back. Gorgeous hotel and delicious food. T and Lauren were fantastic hosts and very accommodating. From initially booking the hotel as a mid way stop for our young family 2 x adults 2 x children -3 years and 11 months, they couldn't do enough for us. We requested our dinner for 5pm which they kindly agreed too. We also requested the vegan option and was wonderfully surprised that they had such a wide variety of choices. We requested child portions of the adult choices which again they were haply to fulfill. The food was incredible. Freshly cook and a taste sensation. Would highly recommend for a meal if not an overnight stay. The room was very spacious. I always worry with hotel rooms with it not being big enough for a crawler and 3 year old but they children were happy with how big of a space there was too play. And I have to mention the bath. It is like a swimming pool, very good for our children who love to dunk and dive. Then such a relaxing spot for me at the end of the day. A truly lovely and welcoming hotel. We will be highly recommending it to all our family and friends.
