It was the only option to eat British cuisine in Docks. It’s looks busy all the time but it’s most likely take away instead of proper dining. All good served on the takeaway boxes and all cutlery is either plastic either wooden. Plastic tables and all atmosphere let me feel that I am in the china town. It’s big food variety that you can see freshly cooked in the glass counter. Staff has recommend us to try fish and chips and calamari on their own. Agree with fish and chips, special portion was big enough. But calamari were very plainest no seasoning or salt. In my opinion it’s overpriced for this place. I don’t think that I would get back again there.
We asked for cod fish and chips and not only was it freshly made in front of us but it tasted amazing and the serving was a considerable size. Would definitely recommendFood: 5/5
Great taste, quick service, good view when seated at their outdoor dining. Got the haddock and chips and was not disappointed. Haddock was cooked just right, chips were on point, mushy peas tasted great. The dining experience was constantly threatened by some seagulls along the docks although they just stare at you and don't bother you .
Authentic fish and chips place with great vibes. This place is serving classic fish and chips for years now and it is one of the bucket list places while travelling to Liverpool. Portions are huge size and it's more than enough for the heavy meal. Also view and vibe is plus point.
Thick cod and haddock, light crispy batter, generous chips. Price is high a bit, but to be expected for a touristy area.Food: 4/5
Myself and a friend popped into Docklands fish and chips during a sunny Sunday at the Albert dock. I've never visited this chippy before, so we thought we'd give it a try. Upon entering, the place is bright and clean, and the staff are friendly, and we were served promptly. We both decided to have fish and chips and mushy peas. The price for this meal was £14.99 which is a little pricy for such a meal at a takeaway, although there is a dine in option which we took. The portion size was good. The piece of battered fish was pretty big. The batter was light, although it lacked any real flavour, I thought. The fish was moist, and the chips were ok . Overall, it's not the best fish and chips I've ever had nor the worst. The Albert dock attracts a lot of tourists, so this place is aimed at the tourist. Overall, the place is worth a visit if you want some battered fish and chips. There are no toilets within the dining area. However, public toilets are close by and free.
Because of the Arena which has a concert pretty much every night we were there to watch Texas, the restaurants around the docks are all rammed around 6pm, so we chose to eat here. Best decision ever! Fish was super and the chips chunky, cooked perfectly, and all piping hot. Plenty of tables to sit with s&p available. Highly recommended
Clearly this is a tourist trap, everyone knows it given the location, but first time trying the place. £5.00 for a portion of chips!. They were the most dry and depressing chips i've had in years. To top things off, service was utterly dreadful, staff looked at us as though we were an imposition, when we asked if there was salt and vinegar they just grunted and said it was on the tables, and looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there. The vinegar was so watered down I used about half a bottle to try and get any flavour. Based on this experience...an awful chippy with rude staff and extortionate prices. Ive never reviewed a chippy before never thought i'd want to! but never returning here.
Honestly, it was a hefty portion and so good! It was my fish proper fish and chips in the UK and I was not disappointed. Bit pricey but worth it once you see the portion. Also I had never tried mushy peas until I ate here and they were pretty good.Food: 5/5
We went there today to sample thier famous fish and Chips! Well me and my wife ordered Fish and chips twice and 2 drinks. £37.45! That was the first shock! We sat down, opened the boxes to find a mound of grease sodden batter. I cut into it with no crisp batter but sodden wet fish which tasted of pure fat. The chips where hard and very little taste. This place isnt for locals! Its a tourist trap! Ive had better quality off a fairground chippy van and cheaper to boot Just vile and a rip off...dont go..That picture what you see, cost £14.95!
