Martin restored the distributor for my 1959 Frogeye Sprite.  He was very helpful, and confirmed first that the unit I had was the correct model (so many parts tend to get lost / swapped and replaced over time by previous owners).  I sent the unit off to Martin and requested an electronic ignition upgrade.  The unit was returned within the agreed timescale - and it is BETTER than new.  Martin has glass bead blasted the units ally body, replaced all the bearings and moving parts and set it all up perfectly.  New quality cap and rotor installed, new Magnecore HT leads in sympathetic black.  This has transformed my A-Series engine.  Highly recommended.

Despite what Ken has written the Distributor Doctor is the "Go to" expert for Lucas Distributors and has a professional, rapid service!  Have happily bought decent Points, Condensers and Red Rotor Arms from him.

I bought a rotor arm from here. He sent me a new old stock Lucas item, which he later admitted was at least 20 years old. In less than a year and fewer than 1000 miles, the bakelite core fell apart resulting in failure to start. Even though I've probably been putting in rotor arms into distributors since before he was born, he accused me of manhandling it! He refused a refund! He charged me £25 but sells new ones now for half that. AVOID this man if you get a problem, as he doesn't want to know. Unfortunately, I can't award zero stars.
