I rented a property for >4 years with Direct Lettings. The property was of a high quality when we viewed it and the process to attain the flat was simple and well explained to both myself and flatmate. During our time in this property, flat inspections were conducted every 6 months where issues and problems could be highlighted, these were all fixed very quickly after the inspection with no serious issues. Outwith these inspections, Direct Lettings was also immediately available anytime an issue arose. Lastly, upon moving out of the property - the final inspection was carried out for the purposes of the deposit agreement. Having cleaned the flat thoroughly and maintaining a friendly but professional rapport with the company - they were all to happy to return the entirety of the deposit quickly.
I have just got a flat through direct lettings, and i have to say i dealt with Amy and Julie,, they were very responsive and professional, They were very good to communicate with,, i would highly recommend them.
Julie and her team were very supportive with my relocation to Scotland and helped with all my inquiries.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I don't understand how they have any applicants. My boyfriend and I were interested in a flat mid February, we gave in our paper work and then heard nothing from them for weeks. We called and emailed and would hear silly excuses like they hadn't got the email address down correctly, even though we had corrected them and had emailed them directly several times. After calling them every day for about 2 weeks we finally got an email yesterday saying that the flat we had applied for had been given to someone else weeks ago. Now we have to go through the whole process of looking for another 2 bedroom flat and it is approaching exam time and most of the good student accommodation has already been taken. Definitely would not recommend at all to anyone who values their sanity.
Do not trust this company! - They are dishonest and will try every trick in the book in attempt to try and not return your deposit! I have rented in Dundee for over ten years and have never encountered such a badly managed firm. They shirk on making good repairs that you report and then try and claim of your deposit when you move out! you have been warned!
I had a viewing for one of ur flats. Claire who was doin the viewing was extremely helpful and very welcoming. She awnsered all questions and queries that i had and from doing so it take away any doubts i may have had and prompted me to put an application in.
Would give 0 stars if I could. From day one had problems with the company....went into the office to sign moving in paper work got handed the keys went to the flat to find it a pigsty!! There was stains & marks everywhere & even grease left on the oven tray!! Had to chase up every repair for months & months to get anything done & the standard was so shoddy I could have done a better job myself. We lived in the flat for 4 years 2 of which was actually rented out illegally as there was broken windows which they refused to repair. My partner also had a near miss when the whole front part of the oven/glass panel fell off even though they had put themselves in the inventory upon moving in it was cracked! Upon moving out has taken 3 weeks to get overpaid rent back due to errors made by their accountant team with no communication by them unless I phoned up chasing them. Do yourself a favour & stay clear of this company I wish we had!!
