Professional service, beautiful venue and delicious food! I had my 40th birthday dinner party at Dion Bar and Restaurant on 23rd July 2022 and it was absolutely amazing! From the welcoming drinks, 3 course meal and dance in the evening, the staff were extremely professional and organised. The customer service was impeccable and the manager and staff were so attentive and catered to the specific needs of my guests. Everything ran smoothly! I’ve received so many compliments and my guests were all impressed with the venue, food and helpful staff. The day was just as I’d imagined and enjoyable for me and all my guests. Dion Bar and Restaurant is special and it’s a great venue for a party, lunch, dinner or just drinks. Jo, Marco, Sam and the Team – You truly exceeded all my expectations! Thank you so much for being so accommodating and helping me plan and execute the perfect dinner party. I’ll definitely be back!
Note, I'm rating this place as a restaurant ona Friday at 1pm. NOT AS A BAR! The drinks menu is huge with a lot of variety. The food was mediocre. Not bad. But not amazing. The roasted salmon was dry. No sauce. The salmon fishcakes were pretty good with a tasty sauce. No sides though.
Our own experience was far from welcoming but the way in which the manager on duty spoke to and treated her team was nothing short of disgusting. She was enraged by a member of her team going above and beyond for the guests and furiously made it known to me that it wasn’t because of my order, but because the waitress had agreed to the order in first place. Why should I as a guest be involved in that conversation anyway? All the while, this was at 9.30pm when whilst tables were being stacked around us and the website saying the place closed at midnight, clearly the manager just wanted to go home - the worst hospitality I’ve experienced. Ever. Avoid avoid avoid.
Nice place. Visited for office team lunch. Went for turkey christmas meal. Disappointingly bland. Christmas pudding was nice, but custard went cold fast. The usual menu dishes ordered by my colleagues looked and by their accounts, were delicious. Should have ordered something off their usual menu.

Really poor quality food. The salmon was so dry it was inedible on a base of steamed vegetable mush, no flavour…I’m sure it was microwaved… be difficult to make it that dry unless it had been batch cooked and kept hot, which is a possibility. It was so bad I told them to take it back and take it off the bill. I didn’t want anything else. Friend had steak, was told it would come with salad, it came up with a tiny bit of rocket. Burger edible but overcooked. Fish and chips dry and not a big enough portion if you are hungry. Really noisy bar atmosphere. Great for drinks possibly but not catching up with friends as you’ve got to shout at each other! Felt embarrassed really as friends over from the States and this is where we took them. Not a good example of London cuisine.
One of my favourite bars in the city. The only downside is that it gets really busy post work and last time they seemed a bit disorganized about it.
Good location, good service. London prices and bar and bar staff took a bit of time to cheer up.
Where to start?!! Dion St Pauls...you made a night I'll never ever forget even more memorable!!! On Tuesday 26th October my parents charity, SEED Eating Disorder Support Services held it's 21st Anniversary Gala at Goldsmiths Hall at St Pauls. One day after a recce there, pre event we came across Dion St Pauls and had a few drinks while finalising plans for the gala. The atmosphere and service was brilliant and I decided to ask if they would consider allowing us to have our after party there. They agreed and even organised for staff to stay on as it would be a late arrival!! Honestly, the gala went amazing and everyone was on a high so to be able to walk across to Dion was such a treat to continue celebrating! All of my guests were treated amazingly, nothing was too much trouble, the staff were so kind and lovely and Marcos and Jo hand on heart, made it the most incredible ending to such a special day. My good friend Calum Scott performed for us at the gala, and even though he had an early flight the next morning to LA...he ended up staying until the very end because it was just so much fun!!! THANK YOU!! We will be back. I can't recommend this hidden Gem highly enough and have my sights set on getting older next year celebrating with them again, the perfect party venue and also the perfect venue for any needs! You are all stars and it was lovely to have you included on our press wall too!
After work drinks in the sunshine Pre book a table, especially on a Friday if you want to sit outside! Good cocktail list and friendly staff.
