We ordered a white table. They sent a light Oak one. We waited 1/2 hour in their "customer service" queue to be told that there was a mix up with the id number on the website and that, if we wanted an exchange, we would have to order a new one while we wait to have the wrong one collected and that, only when the wrong one was collected, we had to call them to ask them to process a refund!!! I didnt order a replacement and asked to speak to a Manager... no manager was available but they would apparently escalate the case and I would get a call back within 24 hours... what a laugh. Not only did Hermes not collect on the day specified, I didnt get a call back... I called againand asked why Hermes didn't turn up. The reply was that Hermes had no record of it. Also, they could not explain why a Manager hadnt called but that one would call me back after 8pm that night... They also arranged another collection date for the next Monday. Guess what... no manager called back. On Saturday, a lady agent for Hermes turned up at the door in a small hatchback... for a heavy table!!! She obviously couldn't collect it and went away advising that she couldnt re-organise another collection and that we would have to go back to Debenhams.... I waited in the Debenhams queue again (its never the 5 to 10 minute wait they quote) and spoke to another person who wanted to arrange another collection period which would be, and I quote, "sometime over the next 3 days". We would not get a pre-collection message or call and were expected to wait until someone in a van turned up.... WOW. I demanded to speak to a Manager... the next promise is that someone (not her) will speak to a courier on Monday to see if a more immediate collection can be arranged. Also a promise was made that, provided we can issue a collection number, they would process a refund more promptly... We'll see what happens next next but I dont hold out much hope.. Needless to say,this is the last online order I will ever make with Debenhams.... appalling choice of courier and a completely impotent and incompetent after sales service.

I only go for school clothes. I order online and click and collect if there's so school stuff about during term time then I get it here. I get pack of girls black trousers two for £11-£12 and two cardys. Sizes aren't too bad and quailty good. Don't get nothing else from here because its just too expensive. The staff to be honest are pretty miserable as well. Its like they can't wait for you to leave.

Always seem to get what I'm looking for when I come here. Been today as it's black Friday tomorrow it was bedlam big queues at the till but after saying that got through pretty quick and saved a good few pounds bonus!!!!

Worst customer service experience of my life, catalogue of errors from numerous customer service people including being rude to me, calling me off unmonitored numbers to cover for their colleges & then not actioning promises about refunds or gestures of good will, still waiting for a £15 refund from over 3 months a go despite chasing & supplying bank statements over & over. Following it up out of the principle of how they seem to be running their business & training their staff. Company clearly must be in trouble as they don't know what's going on internally. Stopped spending with them until I got my refund back they've launched a 3 month investigation into & still can't solve but seem to expect me to say it's okay. From my calculations they've lost £2,000 already having just moved house I will never use this brand again. Feel free to comment or reply not stopping this until I get an apology in writing plus my money back. Jodie
