I started attending Debbie’s Qigong Shibashi sessions just over two years ago. After a year of attending sessions I completed my instructor training. With Debbie and Mark’s caring encouragement I gained the knowledge and confidence to lead my own group sessions. Debbie and Mark have a wealth of knowledge and love nothing more than to share it. They are nothing but encouraging, giving much of their time to help their students get what they need from the training and continuing to help and encourage after the initial training is complete. There is a wealth of CPD available to help instructors progress their knowledge and skills. I highly recommend the training. The facilities are excellent.
100% recommend the Tai Chi training with Debbie and Mark. I completed my initial instructor training a little over a year ago and although I don’t use it to teach at the moment it’s something for myself and my own personal development for now I cannot praise enough the course content and ongoing gentle support and teaching from both Debbie and Mark. Qigong really is a way of life and with the support of these two and their incredible depth of experience and knowledge I feel supported and encouraged to develop at a pace that is right for me. Don’t hesitate if you are thinking of attending a session, it’s been life changing for me in the most gentle and wonderful way.
I have had the pleasure of doing several training course with Debbie and Mark over the past 4 years since I first decided to study qigong. With their help and encouragement my own personal practice has improved, as has the quality of the sessions I lead for clients who attend my classes. I am very proud to have been able to get accreditation with the Tau Chi Union of Great Britain as a result of being trained by Debbie and Mark. Unlike some other therapies I have studied, Debbie and Mark insist on annual CPD to ensure their students are still working to a safe and acceptable standard. If you are interested in learning qigong I can highly recommend Debbie and Mark as trainers.
I have trained with Debbie and Mark this year and I am so grateful for the knowledge and expertise that they pass on through their brilliant courses. Their passion for Tai Chi Qigong and related disciplines shines through and the structure and the evaluation of the course enables students to build the confidence and skills to go out and deliver a safe set in sessions of their own. I am so pleased that I have found Debbie and Mark and am continuing my study with them so that I can deepen my own practice and start to pass that on to my session attendees.
I have been studying and practicing under Debbie Gannon for over 12 years. I have completed her Shibashi Qiqong instructor training through her academy, as too many of her subsequent training modules. Throughout my training I have found both Debbie and her husband Mark to be honest, Informative and knowledgeable teachers, going above and beyond their roles to support and guide me. The initial instructor course is a great informative introduction into the Qigong Shibashi set, with further modules and training giving deeper insights into this wonderful health art. I am proud to be a part of this this academy and highly recommend the course and modules to anyone wanting to run sessions or increase their knowledge on the Shibashi Qigong set. Debbie's studio is light, airy and a perfect venue to learn in. There is always plenty of Tea and snacks to keep you going as you learn and plenty of time to question and explore the set.
I started to attend a Shibashi Qigong session a little over two years ago and enjoyed it so much, I decided to train in it myself for my own wellbeing. From the first time I contacted Debbie, she was friendly & helpful and her enthusiasm for her subject matter continues to be contagious! Debbie and Mark have created a wonderful space to train in and have answered every question I have had in depth so I could really understand the movements no matter how daft I felt the question was or how many times I needed to be shown!. The support is ongoing so it doesn’t just finish when you qualify. There is the chance to learn more if you want to, as Debbie and Mark have broken the set down into manageable modules for CPDs. I have been leading my own sessions for just under a year, - even though I only intended to use it for myself initially, Debbie and Mark helped me gain the confidence to lead a set in front of a large group of people - something I thought I would never be able to do! I love going back to the academy to learn new depth to the movements. When you train with Debbie and Mark, you get so much more than Shibashi Qigong set. You get their wealth of knowledge and experience and you become part of an ever growing family of Shibashi Qigong instructors that help and support each other, even when we are spread all over the country there are even some instructors in other countries!. The set has now become a part of my daily life and is one of the tools I use for my own my wellbeing. I would recommend the Shibashi Training Academy 100% and am proud to have have trained there.
This has been the best training course I have ever been on! The trainers and course directors Debbie and Mark were extremely knowledgeable in their field, not to mention warm, endearing, passionate and with excellent social and hospitality skills...free hot drinks and chocolate too!!! They gave me lots of individual attention, especially as I probably took a little longer to grasp some of the movements. Further, the detailed theory and principles that paralleled the practical instruction behind Qigong enabled a deeper understanding. Now I feel ready and raring to go share my new found knowledge of this amazing Eastern health art. It was fun and I loved it !!! :
As a teacher myself, I can fully appreciate the level of content, knowledge, skill and dedication of both Debbie and Mark in the delivery of their courses. Not only have I gained valuable skills to improve and maintain my own health, it has enabled me to utilise my Qigong sessions not only in my local community, but also to assist disabled, long term and chronic illness sufferers. I have also been able to demonstrate the health benefits of Tai Chi Qigong including Alzheimer's Cafes and British Heart Foundation Cardiac Support Groups at my local hospital. None of this would have been possible without the incredible skills and ongoing training and support I have received from them both.
I trained with Debbie and Mark in Qigong shibashi just over a year ago . I am already trained in reiki / crystal healing and indian head massage and wanted to add to my complimentary therapy list . Level 1 showed the basics and understanding of qigong shibashi but further education and training since with Debbie and Mark has deepened my knowledge and understanding . It is a continual learning experience . I enjoy every course i do with Debbie and Mark and see the progression of my training coming thro with the sessions i take whether it be on a one to one basis or a group session .
Debbie is a very kind and knowledgable teacher who takes the time and care to explain things thoroughly in a way that is understandable. She has a passion for her work which is contagious. She allows me to learn at my own pace and in my own way, using many different approaches to help me to achieve my goals. Her instructor training course has enabled me to introduce many other people to the benefits of Shibashi Qigong and I am now exploring the moves in more depth thanks to her nurturing. Because of Debbie, Qigong is now a part of my daily routine; it helps me to stay physically and mentally balanced and manage the health issues to which I am prone. I am very grateful to her for giving me this invaluable tool for well-being.
