A truly lovely village with barely any noise in the area with relaxed and chill vibes. One of the best place to visit here in Edinburgh for any first time tourists in Europe. As you walk around the village, you can really feel the village’s old history and you really feel like you’re there. This place is the best for many generations to come.
Such a beautiful village you just can’t stop yourself from taking photos of everything.nWe walked from Princes Street and it took us roughly only 15 minutes! If you are able to walk I would recommend it as it will save you money from buses and trams.nWe went on a Sunday in October and it wasn’t too busy and it didn’t take us long to walk around the village either. On our way back we walked along the river on Miller Row and under the Dean bridge which was such a calm, scenic, beautiful walk. I highly recommend visiting Dean Village if you are in Edinburgh and taking yourself along the river walk !
Really cool picturesque place. A lot of Instagram pictures you will be able to take there. Short walk from the city, takes about 30 minutes slow walk to the city centre. Walk down until the bridge, and you can take cool pictures from there. There is coffee van which has really good spot. Cool place, especially to visit in autumn
It's an absolute must visit. It's only a 15-20 min walk away from the old town. I recommend visiting early in the morning when it's a lot less crowded. It's a small village but the views are extraordinarily stunning. My only issue with this place was that there were no benches alongside the Water of Leith Walkway to enjoy the scenery.
Dean Village in Edinburgh was a delightful experience for us on a sunny afternoon in September 2024. My wife and I were captivated by the charming, historic architecture that gives the village a timeless feel. The highlight was definitely the peaceful walk along the water, which offered stunning views and a sense of tranquility in the heart of the city. We took plenty of photos to capture the beauty of the day, and it truly felt like a perfect escape. Highly recommend Dean Village for anyone visiting Edinburgh who appreciates history, nature, and picturesque settings!
