Story

Dead Wax Social is a brand new pub in Bond Street that has the vinyl record at its heart and the city's independent music business as its inspiration. The important creative and community role that the independent record store has always played in Brighton's history will be celebrated at DWS along with the unique creative output of the city's indie labels. The decor will be an homage to the record album, record shop and record label and all the music played will be from vinyl records only.

For the drink offering, we will be serving a wide range of draft and bottled craft and cask beers. The food offering will be the top quality pizzas, crafted on site with sourdough bases, cut to 7” and 12” sizes and baked in the pubs own "pressing plant" kitchen. Discounts will be offered to everyone involved in Brighton's music industry and the doors will always be open for record launches, record fairs and showcases.

Great beer served by fantastic people. Nice environment.

Not a place I'd usually go, but out with friends I was very impressed in here, great staff, good service, good music

It looks like a vinyl shop. The bar staff also spin tunes on the deck. There is a further large bar area at the rear. The have a pizza oven but best of all, a pinball machine! Brilliant place!

Great pizza from Wolfsmouth. Otherwise, this is the same Laines pub as years ago.

Would highly recommend the music quiz on Wednesday and the atmosphere of the place is very friendly. Good place to go if you're looking for a few drinks; pints are standard price but we found the spirits a bit more expensive.

I would live here if i could, Pizza was amazing, staff were super kind, spent too much money on the arcade game table but NO REGRETS.

What a great place. Pick a record and they play it awesome and Cat was great and made us feel so welcome
