Spoke to a member of the team and went through the scottish debt help choices available for me. Meticulous detail on all - for me the best two were the debt arrangement scheme and the protected trust deed. You can write off debt with the trust deed and it lets you go debt free in 4 years but my income can go up and down so I opted for the debt arrangement scheme and it'll let me pay off extra chunks as and when I need to. Everyone was uber-friendly and muchos experienced. Good experience, all round.
Debt arrangement scheme was the best thing I ever did. Stopped all the credit card interest and let me repay debt at a level I could afford.
Original contacted them about a protected trust deed but did the call with their debt adviser and chose the debt arrangement scheme instead. Don’t regret it at all. Best thing about the das is being able to chip in more cash and pay it off faster
