Good cafe nice lay out staff seat you as you arrive. Scone clotted cream and strawberry jam £3.75 not a bad price but it's the smallest scone I have seen in a long time. The scone was home made and warm which was nice. Prices are comparable with other farm shop cafes. Shop a little on the dear side but stock I haven't seen anywhere else. Lovely meat counter and deli counters lots of local cheeses. Sharpham brie is worth buying. Good produce in farm shop they are selling hampers which are great for Christmas presents. Small playground for small children and a hen house with rare breed chickens which the children loved. Some sheep two calves and two pigs. On site there is a spa. Plenty of disabled parking and entranced.
Darts Farm is just one of those destination compounds you need to see even if you have no intention of buying anything. Beware no dogs allowed in the farm shop, so don't go alone or you'll only be able to prowl around the grounds. To be fair, there is an outdoor coffee kiosk if you're doggy sitting. The animal pens were all empty. Hopefully a good sign that they are no longer keeping livestock on premises.
‘The Farm Table is all about taking food off the farm & into the fire, celebrating the simplicity of beautiful ingredients grown, reared, caught & crafted on our doorstep.’ The food tonight was outstanding, the Venison, Scallops & Vegetarian dishes where some of the best we ever had!
Lovely place, expensive but great quality goods. Highlights for me were the butcher and chip shop. Parked in the dog parking so there was shade on the car while in the shops and then had a lovely walk with our dog too
Since we last visited 2 years ago, we were sad to find that the traditional brewers "Green Valley Cyder" had sold up & their lovely drinks are no more, apart from "Dragon Tears." Lots has changed. You cannot currently sit outside to eat your fish & chips from " The Fish Shed." We ate ours in the car & it was as lovely as ever. Still have a great selection of local produce here. They also sell Italian specialities including Balsamic vinegar from the exact farm we visted when we were in Modena, Italy. Well worth a visit, especially if you're a foodie.
The ambiance is great, lots of customers but staff were welcoming, organised and service super fast. The double cheeseburgers were the best my friend and I had ever had. Tasty, cooked to perfection, super generous helpings and just excellent. The service team made sure we were happy, I could see they were helpful to each other and continually checking that customers were being seated and served. A good sign of the quality of management. We didn’t feel hurried and the atmosphere is very relaxed. We wandered around the deli side, both of us were impressed with the presentation, quality and value for money. Definitely a repeat visit planned for the near future. I recommend a visit, you won’t regret it.
nice place. Ideal to spend holiday days fishing but notice other visitors are so annoying with kids and dog walker,On gate should be only fishing allowed plenty of surrounding space for take kids for walk.Fishing shoul be peacefull also toilet should be closer to fishing pond,
Darts Farm need to reassess their idea of dog friendly. All access points to the dog friendly courtyard part of the cafe display No Dogs signs. After completing a full circumnavigation of the building we were directed by staff to this wooden emergency exit gate in the goods yard. Breakfast and toastie didn't seem worth the effort.
The Terrace at Dart's Farm was lovely. The Waffles were delicious. Easy ordering system and quick service. This is a Banoffe Waffle.
What a great place! Came twice when I was on holiday in Devon - the second time to specifically eat in their restaurant there are other eating hubs too. The restaurant has a lovely rustic but modern space with a nice vibe. Staff were excellent - courteous & very accommodating. Had the nicest mushroom risotto ever & would have had one of their delicious desserts but I was too full! A lovely place to shop, fantastic food hall/deli & something for everyone in the interiors & accessories departments. Well worth a visit
