The situation I found myself in at the beginning of the summer was the worst feeling in the world. My rented house that I had lived in and loved for 8 years was going to be sold. I thought myself and my daughter were going to be homeless and face the process of starting all over again, my dream was to own this home but we were going to lose it. I didn't have the best credit and only had one wage coming in. As a single mum I had no confidence that I would be able to get a mortgage and it was a really heartbreaking time. My friends and family told me to speak to Darren at SMB and see if he could help me, Darren had just taken them through their mortgage process and they highly recommended him, so I gave him a call. Darren was really compassionate and gave me hope when I felt defeated. He guided me for weeks through many possible solutions, kept up my spirits and worked hard to find one that would work, he was always available to speak to and I felt like I could completely trust him. He went above and beyond and always kept me updated with any progress on his mission to find me a lender. He was able to secure me a mortgage in principal and, only 31 days from being accepted for a full mortgage, I completed on our home! I still can't believe I am writing this review as a proud homeowner! If you are in a similar situation to me, don't feel like it is impossible, you just need an amazing broker like Darren and some determination, he said he had faith and he was right. The girls at the branch are wonderful, Imogen and Ellie were always so kind and were there to help me whenever I needed them. The communication from the girls was the best, they're really friendly and they answered any queries I had in super fast time. The fees for the service are unbeatable, you can be rest assured that everything will be taken care of for you, you have peace of mind throughout the whole process and someone is always on hand if you ever need them. Sutton Mortgage Brokers were recommended to me since we were a bit worried about my partner’s credit and were told Darren could help. Darren advised us on the best options for us and answered my many queries as a first time buyer. I could even text Darren which is really handy if you’re busy during office hours, and if he’s not around then Vicky or Imogen are always able to help. Darren was really patient as I had quite a long journey from enquiring about a mortgage to eventually finding my house and it going through to completion. They don’t charge you for any services until the house you want has fully gone through, and the fee, in light of all the work they do for you is really cheap. I also saved money from Darren’s Conveyancing firm recommendation. Better still, the mortgage lender Darren found for me gives £500 cashback! I’m really happy with my mortgage and look forward to working with Darren and Sutton Mortgage in the future, as part of their services is to help you renew after your fixed term!
