I had no idea what Mediterranean food was. I came into this establishment full of questions and wanting to try new things. I learned different foods, they explained the COMPLETE menu to me and told me what was in each item and how it was made. I was introduced to different coffee and teas. I had a waiter from Syria, and learned many different things about their culture while enjoying the food. I enjoyed myself here so much I returned two days later. I enjoyed the same experience two days later and had a complete different waiter Egyptian. This is an amazing family friendly restaurant. If you are new to this type of food I would recommend Damas Cuisine as the place to start your journey. I will come back again. I am in love. thank you for your amazing hospitality.
Please ignore the one star reviews and give them a chance you won’t regret it!!! Try the beef shawarma it’s amazing! And quite flavorful. Service was top notch, I asked for salad without tomatoes and in no time or hesitations I had it at my table.Food: 5/5
Great restaurant to try out, they serve really tasty shawarma. This is the second time I've ordered from them and the food was just as good as before. The shawarma is hot and fresh, with delicious original spices, and the portions are generous. The staff is friendly and helpful.Food: 5/5
It’s my place my favorite every time I feel hungry and want to remember my old days of Syria. I just go to this place. Very nice dining spot. Nice customer service delicious food. Even the music, traditional and classical my favorites as I said.Food: 5/5
Everything was very good.. from the stuffed intestines to the grape leaves to the mashawi.. great Job.. the kibbeh niyeh needed little more spices but I am comparing to the lebanese kibbeh. Good nonetheless.Food: 5/5
I visited this restaurant this week and here is my honest opinion. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable to dine in. Food is very tasty but rather beyond delicious. Food preparation and serving was surprisingly fast. They serve hot and fresh mini pita bread. The fresh Salads and fatoush, and fluffy humus are my favorites. Service is good but it could possibly improve. One minor comment is that the prices are slightly above the average entree price due to the strategic location and city of Farmington hills, but again it’s worth it for the excellent food they serve. My other favorite thing about this restaurant is the dedicated corner for prayer on the side, very well organized and thoughtfully put. I recommend dining at this place over others in the area particularly due to the tasty food and decent service compared to other overrated and overpriced restaurants in the area.
The food was good, we ordered a variety of entrees fattoush, shakriyah, stuffed grape leaves, grill chicken and were pleased with each of the meals. The service was subpar. The hostess was not welcoming and seemed annoyed at any and every question we asked/request we made. We didn’t receive our full order, and the hostess seemed indifferent about that when we mentioned it. I would recommend this place but not with friends/guests - the poor treatment/service was embarrassing.
We celebrated my Birthday at this restaurant yesterday and it was the 25 of us, So I was told it’s a good place. BUT, I was not told that it’s “EXCEPTIONAL”. The atmosphere was welcoming. Food was supreme, tasteful, colorful, and exquisite, I take my hat off to the Chef. The staff is great including the owner and manager. Our servers were very fast and attentive much better than a lot of places I've dined at. Having 25 very demanded guests at one table is not an easy task to do!! Well, they did it and they definitely exceeded our expectations. Each and everyone of us was super happy. Thank you guys for making it such unforgettable Birthday gathering. Definitely highly recommended.
We had dinner buffet in Ramadan. We called to make a reservation for 6 people and we asked about the menu......nothing from what we were told was on the menu......the food was acceptable eventhough it was different from what we were told. The grape leaves were very salty.... The service was terrible, we did not even see any service person after we were served the soup, dirty plates were not picked up off the table until the whole table was done eating. Why should I serve if the 18% goes automatically on the bill. I am not saying the service staff do not deserve the gratuity, I am saying why should they care if they are going to get it no matter what. After we finished we asked for coffee, because it was not included in the dinner price.....we got a warm pot of Turkish coffee that was not even hot at all. Bad service, poor food, not going back there. For $45/ person and can eat dinner at a much better place.
I recently had the pleasure of enjoying an authentic Syrian breakfast with my family on our Michigan trip at Damas Cuisine & Catering, and it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that instantly made me feel at home. The breakfast spread was incredible, featuring a delightful assortment of traditional dishes. The platters of fresh, warm cheese and za’atar Manakish, Sfiha and flavorful fattet hummus, and makdous were the highlights. I also loved the perfectly brewed and fragrant tea that complemented the meal beautifully. To top it off, The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, making sure I had everything I needed and recommended grabbing authentic Syrian ice cream from Sham Ice cream next door and it was indeed top notch and brought me back to my childhood. Overall, Damas Cuisine & Catering offers an authentic and delicious Syrian breakfast experience that I highly recommend. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their amazing dishes on my next visit to Michigan!
