When my husband’s Seiko watch strap broke, he took it to Seiko in Maidenhead. They told him that they no longer took in repairs and he would have to post it to them. Having read the previous reviews about Kings I took it to them expecting to have to buy a new strap. Under 5 minutes later it was fixed at next to no cost! What fantastic customer service. I will recommend this jeweller to everyone.
Popped into DJ Kings watch shop yesterday as a pin kept sliding out of my metal watch strap omega seamaster. The lovely people of this shop diagnosed and fixed the problem within a few short minutes and for a very reasonable price. Honestly they could not have been more helpful and I highly recommend them only wished I had asked the name of the repair chap to add into this review. Five star service and thank you both for your help.
Brilliant local business, I cannot recommend enough! I was under the impression from other jewellers in the town that my watch was too far gone and well beyond repair. It's a mechanical Omega which had stopped working and the bracelet was broken through wear. It may not be worth much nowadays but it has sentimental value to me and It seemed such a shame to have sat around. I brought my watch into them and they assured me that they were confident they'd be able to get it working. Sure enough when i next popped in not only had the bracelet been fixed, the watch was given a service and they polished it all up taking out all of the scratches. On top of that they didnt charge me for polishing it and making it look like new.
Another jewellery repair done - Thank you, Samuel! I was first recommended to go to D J King by a work colleague. I have had 2 or 3 repairs done by Samuel, all within a couple of hours and very fairly priced. Polite and efficient - I would recommend.
I asked Mr King to replace the missing glass face on my Longines watch this summer. The first repair was a disaster 25 pounds and the new glass face cracked witin hours. I returned from Aston Tirrold to complain and for an extra 25 pounds he again replaced the glass. However, having checked his catologue, he fitted a thicker glass. Sadly this glass impacted on the hands and the watch stopped because ot the pressure on the hands. A profeesional fixed this - replacing the hands and a proper glass face for my watch. He and was amazed at the unprofessional job accomplished by Mr. King. I have written to him with proof of the damage he inflicted on my watch and claiming costs of repair plus the 50 pounds for his ineptitude in fitting 2 wrong galss faces. I have never had the courtesy of a response to my claim for reimbursement - which in some ways. sadly does not surprise me. I was visiting my daughter in Sydney for this repair. I am returning home to Aston Tirrold in 2019 and will be instructing lawyers to advance my claim. Be careful a professional would respond - AT LEAST! Maggi Morgan
Sad to hear that you will be closing. Having left my watch at another jeweler for a couple of days with no correspondence, me chasing each time I decided to take it back and thankfully found DJ King. Walked in and within 2 minutes I had my watch fixed and only a small charge. It is sad that we are losing these local, trustworthy independants in the town. Hopefully I will be back with another request before you close
