From the second we picked up the phone to Hollowell & Sons the night my father passed away, we cannot fault one of them in the slightest. Kind, caring and an all round warmth about their behaviour as we had to tread softly as an entire family. Our funeral director Anthony, a man we could not have asked more from! He felt apart of the family as soon as he shook our hands the following day. To sum up with using too many more words. If you lose a loved one, there is no better caring set of people about D Hollowell & Sons to guide and support your family through a hard time.
Hollowell’s looked after my Nan and did an exceptional job. All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly and made us feel at ease during such a sad time. We can’t thank you enough.
Jon Brady is the most wonderful person to have by your side throughout this very upsetting process. Nothing was too difficult for him. His manner is just right . Professional, yet friendly and caring. His attention to detail is spot on. The same goes for everyone else at Hollowells. Especially Helen x Thanks all of you
Rachel conducted the funeral for my step dad last week, she was so kind and thoughtful throughout. Nothing was too much trouble from the beautiful order of service with so many personal touches, through to the magnificent floral arrangement she obtained for us. It was also a really lovely touch to have the memory box given to us after the service with the pictures of him she had printed and extra orders of service to keep or pass on to people who had been unable to attend. Both he and my whole family were treated with dignity and compassion throughout and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
After losing my Mum, Hollowells were so nice. Completely took over everything at a very difficult time. They really took care of everything. Would highly recommend them at one of the hardest times. Thank you.
Anthony conducted my Father’s funeral with the upmost dignity and respect. Not having had to deal with this sort of thing before he talked us through the whole process and took out the extra stress at this difficult time. He recently took the time out to conduct the internment ceremony of my Dads ashes, again with the upmost professionalism. I can’t thank him enough for his guidance and support throughout this difficult journey. Would highly recommend Hollowells and Anthony Boardman.
One member of the staff was brusk and for such a position in a Funeral Director company and how 'she' was to the Deceased's Mother, unsympathetic doesn't cut it! I give 2 stars as the other staff members were more in tune and quite professional.
We would like to thank this wonderful and caring company for arranging the funeral of our dearly departed Mum and Mum in law Kay Cosgrove. Special thanks to Rachel Anderton our appointed director and Rev John Bentham... We simply could not have asked for more...From day one you could not have done more for us at a most difficult time ....Robert & Janice and family.
This is my first experience of having to organise a funeral and my experience with Hollowell’s and Kyle King who was our dedicated funeral director was excellent. He was very respectful, attentive and empathetic from the initial meeting, throughout all the organisation and to the the very dignified funeral service itself. It was very comforting for me, family and friends. Kyle guided us throughout and offered lots of options on the funeral being the best send off tailored to our wishes. In addition, there were lots of nice touches like the order of service, photographs, memory box and additional contact after the funeral itself. I would highly recommend Hollowell’s and Kyle.
My sister passed away recently leaving me as next of kin, and I'm 3 hours away. Hollowells did a fantastic job, keeping me informed every step of the way. Professional, respectful and courteous are the words I would choose to describe the service I received. Thank you.
