After excellent communication whilst ordering timber we were really disappointed at the lack of response and customer care after we'd received the product. We ordered some sleepers and were disappointed by the quality. They were fully cracked all the way down and two of them had splits 1ft long all the way through the product. When we tried to move them they opened up even more. What we received doesn't match the quality we were promised. These are what I'd have expected to find in clearance and my local timber yard, never as full price and quality. Really disappointed that they haven't responded to us about this. We have a lot of work to do and need 30 or so more timbers but we will not be using them again.
Great place to go for all sorts of timber at very reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and not averse to a bit of banter. They also carried the wood to my car. I cut to length in the car park because at 4.2m it would not fit in my car. Highly recommend for any type of timber. Will be using again for sure.
Have just received my second order from them. Good customer service & delivery drivers are polite & helpful. Nice to receive a call for delivery date & when driver is on his way. Would certainly recommend

The name explains it all after looking around and pricing from all the usual place like b&q . thisle .jewson . ect I could name many more this is definitely the place to go the staff are very helpful as well ...as example I was unsure how to use ratchet straps without some were to hook on to as I was using a roof rack feeling stupid I asked a member of staff for help he assisted me and made me feel comfortable and educated me on how to do without making me feel dumb I don't think I have been schooled so well that alone should have had a price it was well appreciated and educated thank you again.
Would certainly recommend discount timber in tranent.value for money .helpfull friendly staff nothing was a bother .will certainly be back .thanks guys
ordered composite decking and wooden joists.paid a little more for the decking than others supply but it was stronger and heavier than the sample types already looked at. delivered when I had asked them too and gave us help getting it to the garden.cannot fault these guys especially Nicholas who helped get the best price for me. just shows it is better to shop local than get a little cheaper elsewhere with little or no support.
My go to supplier for timber. Always really helpful, outstanding value with low prices.
