This supermarket has crammed a lot of different products into quite a small floor space, it's in a handy location with ample parking and benefits from the petrol station next door where the petrol prices are as competitively priced as any in the surrounding area. The prices are great and what you've come to expect from a leading brand like Asda. There were no queues and we found plenty of friendly helpful staff available too.
Xmas eve and me and my 5 year old are walking out the store when John of the tranent store who was dressed as santa on a break so not in full out fit but clearly had made a great effort walks over and hands my daughter a £10 gift voucher with a thank you from the store for being their customers and to have a great Xmas which I have never seen happen before it was such a nice gesture and very impressed at the effort not just by John but all of the staff who are working on Xmas eve every one all dressed up and making a great effort well done folks and thanks again
This Asda is neglected by the owners I think. It looks terrible. Some shelfs are empty, might be because of Brexit but I've been in other stores where the same shelves are not empty. The only redeeming factor is that most of the staff are brilliant, very helpful and it seem happy.
Visiting friends so wanted to buy flowers and wine which was successful. My only critism was that they didn't have a plastic flower bag so had to use paper towel to stop the drips.
Left my cash in the self service at edinburgh Jewel last night. The young chap on the self service was so prompt in alerting me to this. He was so polite and professional. A credit to Asda.
Very dirty particularly floors and empty shelves / poorly stocked. Needs closing for a good scrub and a refurb, I saw the fruit/veg aisle and walked straight back out.
Friendly staff and cleanliness inside is top notch, my bigger issue is the parking. The normal spaces should be extended because they are just far to tight.
Nice selection of spirits. Fruit section well stocked. Only thing is: there was a weird bloke loitering inside the entrance section. As i walked out. Towards the exit, the weird bloke was making intense eye contact and had an expression on his pus that I would describe as a combination of disgust, contempt, and disdain. Asda needs to get on this issue and not have odd folk loitering at entrance scaring off the public.
The staff are friendly and helpful I am in here alot for essentials, good deals sometimes
No halal food option. Shame it is like that in Edinburgh with every big retailer outlet. Not very diverse surprisingly in such a rich city with tourists.
