Very friendly staff who helpfully stick to collection times. The prices here are lower than many of the nearby takeaways esp. down Albert Road; however, have to be honest, the quality of the food is not as good. My main curry dish lamb bhuna did not contain much meat; instead, it consisted of a lot of sauce. What meat there was lacked flavour. The rice + sundries were fine. A shame as some of my past meals going back a few years were very good. However, on the last couple of occasions, the food quality was a little wide of the mark, despite the very good front of house service.
I was recommended this place by my barber and it didn't disappoint. The quality of the food was excellent, the flavour was fantastic and I wish I had found this place sooner. It did take a while for delivery but the guy on the phone was very honest about it and the curry arrived early than he said. This is now my favourite take away in Portsmouth and I have tried a few!
Went around 4.40pm today as the restaurant door was open. Staff came across arrogant and pointed at the clock on the wall. Communication could have been better given that people are coming seeking for your food. And please leave a sign to state the opening hours next time. Quite disappointed with the service!
What has happened to the best Indian Takeaway in the city, Food is now bland and prices have rocketed up, I been using curry hut for years but now? Please please turn it round before you lose all your customers
Great tasting curry. Good service. Thou unless you're ordering veg get a magnifying glass to look for the meat/prawns. Always end up with a tray of curry sauce One curry counted 5 bits of chicken and these are not large cuts. If they stopped being so stingy with the contents they would easily be one of the best in the town Anyone want to compare order a curry from new Taj in fratton and see how much you should get.

Ordered garlic chilli chicken and chicken tikka main course. The dishes were perfectly cooked, and portions were big. I will be ordering very soon.
Picked a takeaway for my children’s today, ordered a main portion of chicken tikka and lamb tikka and was very surprised with a very small portions of meat. I took it back when I noticed the light weight of takeaway bag asked the staff to explain if it was main or started portion. They explained that’s this was main portion of 8 pieces of chicken and lamb but the chicken and lamb pieces was so small that it only was half full in the small starter container. Please safe yourself from spending your hard earned money from this thefts hands and go somewhere that’s take proud in their customers satisfaction. I wish I can add pictures to this review and then everybody will know how cheat this curry hut takeaway is.
So lucky to have this as our local takeaway. Always delicious food and great service. Highly recommendedFood: 5/5
