I've been ordering from here since 2004 and not once have they ever been rude to me, quality curries with good quality chicken. I once lived right across the road from Chutney's literally a stones throw away, never had any issues with under cooked food but saying that even 5 stars restaurants can get it wrong sometimes, they are only human like us after all. I now live on the edge of their delivery area and I'm about to order again. Keep up the good work guys. EDIT: for the 3rd time in the last year they have sent me the wrong Naan bread, I've been a loyal customer to them for over 10 years and this is how i was treated. I contacted them to complain about being sent the wrong Naan bread which frankly ruined my dinner for a third time. When I phoned them they tried to tell me that it was a Keema Nan, Keema is minced meat in spice that turns it red, i argued that the meat in the Naan they sent me was not minced, it was meat off the joint and not even red in color. Then they spoke with the kitchen and the kitchen admitted they ran out of Keema so decided to just send me something else. On Chutneys menu it does not state that they reserve the right to substitute any food order. They had the audacity to then apologize after arguing with me and offered me a free Keema Naan next time I order, after ruining my dinner for a third time I wont ever be ordering from them again, they can shove their Naan up their arse. I recommend Meghna in Portsmouth.
Not good at all. Walk in order more expensive than ordering though Just Eat? Quality of food very poor, salty and sag allo was just sloppy. Starter - OK, no mint sauce and poppadom was stale and rubbery. Seriously, never again, over the last couple of years this place has gone really downhill. Much better with a walking distance. Not recommended.
Lovely meal, piping hot, very friendly service. We got quite a bit, I had a Chicken Vindaloo & my other half had a Lamb Dhansak, beautiful. Loads of meat in the Keema Naan & such good value for money! Will return.
For the price you can’t complain. Ordered a range of different curry’s from here all have been good. Would recommend If your a student or on a budget.
Disappointing takeaway havent used them for a few years due to not being great last time. I thought I would try again as it's actually few hundred yards away! Not an improvement sadly will not be using again. Bag of broken up bits bahjis that's all I can describe them as and overcooked as well. Although the 2main dishes were in large containers they were both mainly sauce hardly any meat, the sauces were tasty but its poor value! Keema and garlic nan hardly any lamb. Miniscule portions of onion chutney and half full pots of mint sauce. Paid for 2extra poppadoms ,and meant to have had 2 free as its 1 freefor every main dish well I recieved just 1 free poppadom broken as well! To top it all they now charge £2 for delivery regardless of how close you live or how much you spend. There are far better establishments to order from which I recommend you do,I for one will never use these again.
Ordered food friday night, usually very good service, the person on phone, did not want to take order, very rude wished I cancelled. When food came all cold, the food looked sad, Phoned to complain, no answer, tried it, it was awful, all went in bin, absolutely disguising, will not ever order from them again, if you do order from them make sure the chicken is cooked. The salad for the popdoms was brown,. Be very careful if you order from them.
ok so i have passed this place for one year on my way to gym and finally decided to give it a try, ordered for 4 people paid 55 quid in total, told the chef this is my first time and i want him to make me come back.. and boy did he deliver, we had tandoor mixed grill, vindaloo, madras, naga curry and plenty of sides. Everything was very good. We especially liked the raj naga, hot but very manageable with wonderful fragrance. For the price paid i would highly recommend.
We order fro Chutney a lot of the time but we thoroughly unimpressed this time around. Granted it was a Saturday night but food was missed from the order and our naans were still dough in parts and undercooked. When we rung them they sent replacements of missed food and said all they could do was give us free naans next time and that was it. Hardly an apology, I argued I would rather have slightly later food that is hot and cooked properly than fast food that makes me ill. We also never received the missing items. Disappointing.
Absolutely discusting. Found a long hair intwined in the onion barji. Ordered a chicken curry and they sent me lamb. When i phoned up they said id ordered a lamb tika and was then told theyd give me discount next time....i would never go here again!!!
I looked at their website on just eat, it was not clear what has gluten in it and I am allergic. The website said to call and let them know, so I call and ask for recommendations and they tell me to order at another restaurant. Really bad experience, people with allergens are not catered to at all. How disappointing. Will not recommend to anyone.
