5 stars for Savills and in particular Tom Newman who really did a great job in helping us securing a new very nice property to rent. The process was very smooth and balanced from a renters standpoint. Tom was great at communicating and following up on all our questions/queries and really went the extra mile to make our move as painless as possible. Can’t be more grateful! Thank you for your professionalism!
This is the first review I have ever written, but I would like to prevent everyone from using this agency. We scheduled a viewing for the property on July 24th and promptly submitted an offer the same evening. Exercising our right to negotiate, we were informed by one of the agents - Olivier Brown that he would not send this offer, despite it being his obligation under the Estate Agents Act 1979. Consequently, we increased our offer to match the market price. Olivier assured us that our revised offer would be sent to the landlord shortly. The following day, we made approximately 20 phone calls to the agency seeking an update, only to be repeatedly told that Olivier was out of the office. When Olivier finally contacted us at 6 pm, he informed us that the offer had just been sent, despite having promised to do so the previous day. Had Olivier submitted our offer on time as promised, we would have been the sole bidders. Instead, additional viewings were conducted, resulting in more offers being submitted. Since then, we have had no further communication from anyone in Savills. As of today, we are still waiting for a response regarding the status of our offer. After visiting the agency in person, one of Olivier's colleagues informed us that it appears the flat has been taken off the market and someone has rented it out. It is the duty of an estate agent to pass on all offers promptly and to keep clients informed of the outcome of their offers. Olivier's failure to comply with these legal obligations has resulted in an extremely unsatisfactory and stressful experience for us. This entire experience has been the worst we have ever encountered during a flat search. The unprofessional behavior exhibited by Savills, particularly failure to fulfill their obligations and communicate effectively, has been extremely disappointing. AVOID AT ALL COST.
Shingie was our agent and was extremely helpful throughout the process. We viewed the property and were able to move into the flat within a week despite our original contract needing adjusting. He was very professional and friendly so we couldn't recommend a better agent to go with in London!
Had a great experience with this friendly and professional team. Their slightly smaller office felt very welcoming and less corporate, in a good way. Sophie dealt with my application and all my questions/concerns in a satisfactory way. Everyone I dealt with there were equally great. Highly recommended.
I just began renting my first ever property in London and it was honestly a really smooth process for me, especially as it was my first time dealing with these sort of legalities- which is largely due to our agent Sophie Williamson who was incredibly patient and supportive throughout the entire process and made this a much simpler journey than I thought it would be. Huge thank you to her.
Dealing with the Lettings department at Savills, from the initial viewing of a flat, through to securing the tenancy has been a good experience. Sophie Williamson spared no effort in helping us to secure the flat, she returned calls promptly and followed up all queries. It was also thoughtful of her to pop by the flat to enquire how my daughter was settling in. I have only good things to say about Sophie and Savills, unlike their credit referencing agents - The Lettings Hub.
Savills has been offering a great and efficient rental process! Specifically @Shingie Mupfigo has been an amazing agent with his quick responses and availability whenever i needed to ask questions. Tom Willing from Savills Clerkenwell with help from Michael Smit in sales have successfully just sold my home. A 300 year old Georgian merchants house in Leather Lane, one of Clerkenwell's oldest homes. As mine is such an unusual heritage property, I was diligent in my research to engage the right estate agency to represent this sale. Savills reputation was very impressive and clearly deserves the stamp of quality the brand has earned. However, Tom went over and above to sell my home. By steering a brilliant PR campaign, placing stories in the property sections of prestigious publications such as The Sunday Times and a four page feature in London's Metro, Tom had a sense of how to manage the sale of a unique property, applying an excellent knowledge of the Clerkenwell housing market. He guided the marketing and the viewings with flawless expertise. When you sell a property you want to work collaboratively with your agent and Tom and his team navigated a sense of partnership. I can't recommend this agent and this office more, so I would wholeheartedly say, if you want to acquire or sell a property you MUST give Tom at Savills Clerkenwell a call first.
Amazing experience start to finish! Sophie was an absolute gem and helped us in every way she could find our first home! Strong communication throughout the process and couldn’t recommend her/ savills enough!
