Tasty Indian in east central Aberdeen, easy to find on the main east road. Great service. Lift available for wheelchair users and a basic disabled toilet. The restaurant lists itself as "low fat" but although dishes possibly contained less oil than is commonplace, they still had quite a bit of oil so I'm not sure about this claim.
Waited for 2 hours before we got our order and we didn't even get a call from Cumin Tandoori to notify us that there's going to be a delay. We called them twice to find out where are food was. When it arrived, we were so disappointed as all the food was cold. We had to reheat our food. Called Cumin to complain about it they said they will give us 50% discount on our next order but denied us the offer when we made the 2nd order today. Wouldn't recommend to anyone! Worst service and they served cold food!!!
Order to be "delivered". Want to wait over 2 hours for your food? Want to be treated like crap when you drive over to check on your order because they won't answer their phones for 15 minutes? Want to finally get your order and it's wrong? Then order from Cumin, where customer service is the last thing on their minds! It's a shame you can't rate with zero stars.
I visited tonight based on the last five reviews i totally disagree with comments I've eaten Indian food for forty years the length and breadth of Great Britain plus several southern Indian states and the food at cumin was by far the worst I can remember it's 7pm twenty diners the staff are running around like headless chicken no coordination the music just turned up too loud off to a good start first two pints of cobra lager I sent back tasteless waiter very apologetic my starter mixed pakora small portion very greasy offered another starter but turned the offer down my main East Bengal chicken nothing like description there was no way this had been marinated more like chicken tikka in a glorified tomato sauce very very peppery the fried rice was good but that's all I did notice other diners sending food back too I talked to the owner he was very apologetic didn't charge me for my main and starter asked me to visit again and he would make sure what ever I ordered would be good I told him first impressions go along way I told him I wouldn't return there are far better Indian restaurants in Aberdeen I suggested he change his chef owner I'm considering it already had two previous complaints tonight I defiantly won't be back here again
Food is ok but nothing special to be honest but it is conveniently placed on union street. Used to be very busy but recently I have seen the place much quieter but that maybe the Aberdeen economy not the restaurant
Lovely setting for a romantic evening, or dinner with friends where the food and service is absolutely divine. Lovely experience definitely a place to dine in
Bit warm inside but it was the hottest day off the year. The curry i had was beautiful

Nothing Indian about this place. Smelly and stale food. The staff have an air of superiority. I wonder why.
