Great pub with great food! In the middle of nowhere in Culmstock. Piano in the bar so the staff allows you to play. I had fish and chips perfect texture. Crispy batter and soft white fish
Nice pleasant honest pub &dining. Sevice fault less. Fish &chips was excellent. Haunch of venison top quality.sirloin steak best i have eaten for a long time. Will visit again next time in area.Rooms: 5/5
Good food and service. Very pleasant atmosphere but it is a village pub, so enjoy it all. Food & drinks: Good menu, although several items were 'off', limiting choice. Be as well to ring and check if it may be a problem.

Was there last Friday evening food was amazing but felt rushed to eat up and leave! Then the kitchen staff started bringing out dustbins from the kitchen not what you want to see when out for a meal. The landlord said the kitchen staff wanted to get home!! Wont be eating there again.

Great food and great atmosphere. This is a well run proper pub that meets the needs of locals and visitors alike with very helpful and friendly staff. Always feel welcome and love the food!
Our stay was fantastic. Next to a lovely river and plenty of parking. Room was clean and fresh interior. The pub itself is fantastic and the food was absolutely fantastic - not just saying this but the quality of the produce and the cooking was top notch, hats off to the chef. Each of the staff were super friendly and helpful, genuinely recommend a stay here and if not needing a bed you must try the restaurant!
