Excellent offerings for lunchtime - much enjoyed roast veg n goats cheese gratin - v tasty. Companion's huge piece of slow cooked brisket with veg much appreciated too. Both portions v generous indeed!
Always meant to go here but never did - until last night. 4 of us seated quickly after serving us our drinks in the bar. Food was great. I went for the liver and bacon and it was superb, the mash was terrific! My wife went for the haddock loin with Serrano ham. Also great. Service was fast and efficient too. So glad we went now. Honestly these guys have absolutely got this nailed. Try them. It's terrific.
Really good food and a nice atmosphere, well worth the trip out. It’s always best to book first as it can get busy but that is to be expected in a good pub.
Amazing food, great atmosphere. We had a wonderful meal, with lovely service. Highly recommended.
Really fantastic meal here. Place is small but friendly so booking is a must. The staff are very helpful and the food is very good. Would definitely recommend.
Incredible food, great beers, and the best staff and atmosphere - cannot recommend highly enough!
Fantastic food, friendly staff, nice beer and very accommodating.
Great staff, delicious food and friendly atmosphere. You won't go hungry here after a meal!!
Brilliant small village pub. Quaint, qwerty, great food, super friendly staff. Off the beaten track, so normally would not have come across it. Glad we discovered it, will go back.
We had booked over 4 weeks in advance for a meal here, having heard that it was good. At the time of booking we said we would have our dog with us and we were reassured that this would not be a problem. When we arrived, the pub was incredibly busy, so much so that we couldn't get in through the door to begin with! It seemed that they were not only trying to serve customers who were drinking or eating there, but also ordering take away pizzas! When we eventually spoke to one of the staff, we were told we couldn't have our reserved table in the dining room because we had a dog! They had failed to make note of this on our booking and were unable to offer any other table in the bar unless we were prepared to wait until a table became free which, as the pub was so busy could have taken hours that we didn't have. Very disappointing!
