The food is average. Sunday roast diner is quite reasonable priced but the lamb we ordered are quite chewy. The swede tasted off but the waitress insisted no one else complained, but we did have another vegetable instead. Towel in the toilet smelt a bit funny. Perhaps should use a hand dryer. IPA tasted good. We quite like the decor of the pub. It’s in a good location. Parking is free nearby on Sundays.
Surprisingly nice find. We came for a Sunday roast and did not leave disappointed. Service was quick, food was filling and cooked perfectly. We also ordered mussels which tasted super fresh and was the most psuprisingly element. Price was also great value. Would come again.
Cullins Yard is actually like a big yard sale- fun and full of interesting artifacts. If you sit on the patio, you get a nice view of the cliffs and the marina, but you'll have to order at the bar. We went there for a late lunch and the dishes were good portions and tasty, but they could have been a bit more seasoned. The salmon was great.
We were looking for an early dinner after visiting Dover Castle, and came across this place. It’s about a 10 min walk from the castle, and serves yummy mussels! Fish & chips was alright; the chips were really good though. Friendly staff, and nice cosy atmosphere.
This place is a 5/5 no doubt. A bit hidden but so gorgeous. Lovely staff, tasty food, good music, great atmosphere. That view as well! We can't wait to be back!
This pub is situated near the beach just down a small side street and with whole marina views at the back. It has a very cosy ambience inside, the menu is extensive and we'll executed and the whole place is amazingly adorned with old memorabilia from yesteryear. For dinner we had fish and chips and it really was excellent. For drinks it is worth noting that if you are a fan of German beers they have quite a few actually on tap - including wheat beer / Weißbier which is really great to find. They have the usual choice of lagers, wines, spirits and a few ales on pump too. There is a large outdoor section as well, with and most of it is covered. Great for quick pint or make a day of it! Highly recommended.
Loved my fish and chips with a skewer of prawns from this pub restaurant. They didn’t really do takeout but were kind enough to make something up for me because I had to catch a train. Great value and delicious! I especially appreciated that they made a little cup out of tin foil to hold the tartare sauce! Very friendly and helpful staff who were welcoming
Service is excellent! The atmosphere is great and fun. So many cool items around to look at. Pigs ear beer is a mild IPA with good flavors I am not an IPA guy but did appreciate it and have a second glass. Wave Cider was refreshing. Fish n chips was good, Lasagna has cheddar which was good but surprised my kids tastebuds. The cheese Burger and BBQ Chicken sandwich were voted as the best by all 4 of us. That is not to say the other meals were subpar the other two just hit the spot more. I would definitely come back again.
Well, for a start it's open on a Sunday evening.. unlike every other place I called. The staff is charming, professional, attentive and personable. The portions are generous and well presented. The decor is amusing. It's a cross between a maritime antique shop and junk shop, but clean and well presented in case you get the wrong idea. Kids will love it. There are a couple of terraces. View on the marina. Great value for money. And the place feels like it belongs to a proprietor, rather than a chain.
Enjoyable places to grab beers and some food. Full of historical items all over the place. Walls, ceiling full of history. We arrived Friday night little before 5pm was empty. Soon got busy. We stayed in the main bat area. Service was good, food was good. Starters Prawns and spaghetti Bolognese main. Coke and 6 beers. Then a short walk back to the boat as we set off for Dunkirk. Good outdoor area smoking with heating. Would go again with the lads. 5 stars if they had Chocolate Fudge Cake. Vegetarian options: Yes Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free items
