It's good. It's a bit grubby though. The food is ok. Nothing to sing about. The place could do with a overhaul. And the glasses certainly need a better clean before serving to the customers.
Browns Hotel was very nice, is was Dylan Thomas favourite place to drink. The food was very good, and had a good menu
Booked at the Crwys for a Christmas meal for over 30 people, the service was amazing. The food was very good, everything run smoothly and the staff was really accommodating. They even allowed us to use the pub microphone for our Christmassy quiz! Thank you again for a lovely evening and service
Great new food at the Cryws! We had the new veggie burger which was so tasty for the veggies. The ultimate spicy burger had a good kick to it and the sides were eaten very quick! Really friendly staff and great atmosphere for the footy.
Fine but the whole pub reeks of cigarette smoke and the drinks are too expensive. They used to do vegan fish and chips but they seem to have taken it off the menu and the vegan food options now leave a lot to be desired. Staff were all great.
When my friends and I go out for dinner at The Hellenic, we always meet at The Crwys an hour beforehand for a quick drink. The Guinness is excellent and the atmosphere very informal with sport on the TV screens. Staff very friendly and efficient, prices what you would expect for a good, traditional local pub. There is an outstanding beer garden for when the weather warms up, which is spacious, clean and comfortable. We've never eaten at The Crwys but the food we've seen waft past us in the waiting staffs hands looks fresh and generous. It's a cracking pub!
Visited 2 times and never disappoints me. Great portion as well.
Had fish and chips and a beer. Food was good. The guykid at the bar counter didn't know how to do tap beer. Ruined my beer but didn't want to do a bad rating just because of him.
My wife had Jacket Potato with Prawns and Marie Rose sauce and I had, Steak & Ale pie and chips and the plates were cleared. Lovely food. Staff were also friendly, cherry & professional.
Been here a couple of times for lunch, always had a lovely meal with great service. Light and airy with big beer garden. Clean toilets, bar mats on the tables. Would recommend a visit. Update.May 2021.First visit to any pub since the madness of the last year..booked a table on line, which was easy to do. Hand sanitizer on way in and greeted by a friendly member of staff who explained the one way system, how to order using the appwhich I had to download and showed us to our table. App easy to use, we ordered food and drinks, which were all delivered promptly. I did see one or two people go to the bar and return with drinks so that must still be an option. Toilets have a dial on the outermost door which you turn to engaged as you enter and vacant when you leave so only one person at a time. Food was hot and tasty.
