Baring in mind me and my wife of almost 5 years and being together for 7 yrs, not once have we we been ill at the same time, but last night was the first time due to this place, and baring in mind the fact that we have always ordered from this place for Chinese food, we both have had to visit our bathrooms twice each last nice and are both very ill and having to sit on our toilets whilst holding a bowl.....if you know what I mean. We have never had a problem with this place until now.
Food took an hour to arrive and when it did it was Luke warm at best. The crispy chilli beef was soggy, not crispy. The rest of the food would probably have been ok if it was hot but it wasn’t. Needless to say, a lot of the food ended up in the bin. Could we have re heated it, maybe but you don’t expect to have to do that when it has just been delivered. Won’t be using again, I’ll go back to China Palace. Only used these because I was feeling lazy and they deliver.
I thought i would try this place, it's looks nice and clean and humble. I wished i didn't. Lemon sauce that tastes like cold remedy. Batter that seems to have too much egg on lemon chicken. Too much oil that I feared being invaded. Really nice people but damn that's greasy, i get it's fried rice but i think that this was deep fried. Chicken ball's are nice and crispy. Sweet and sour nice. Pancake rolls had a filling that was greasier than the outside and fell apart in greasy glory.
Tried this place for the first time tonight and wow! We have found our new favourite take away! They were excellent at accommodating my husband’s peanut allergy and the food was great. Good prices and they had the food ready in about 15 minutes. The only thing I could knock them for is they only take cash but honestly the food is so tasty it’s well worth a trip to the atm, and there is one conveniently located around the corner.
The food was an hour late so I rung up and equired about it and the woman on the phone told me that it would be a couple of minutes but it still hadn't arrived nearly 10 minutes after I spoke on the phone originally so I was just about to pick the phone up and ring them again when it suddenly arrived. The delivery driver seemed very polite but when the food arrived it was stone cold and very greasy. The woman that I spoke to on the phone at the Crown Wok Inn was very rude and she hung up very quickly on the phone as if to say she didn't want to speak to me. I do not recommend this Chinese Takeaway to anyone.
Always order from here im also quite close with the owners everytime i go in we have a catchup and talk there super freindly and they serve very nice food never had any problems with them or the food definitely somewhere you want to get your Chinese food from
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.... What a total waste of time and money. Between 6 of us we ordered over £50 worth of food. After 2 hours nothing turned up so we rang them. The owner told us the driver would be 5 mins. 25 mins later still nothing. Eventually the poor driver turned up explaining how bad the service is, and the owners shouldn’t be promising what they can’t deliver. Food was cold and took two and half hours to be delivered and the owners lied. Seriously we will never order from there again and will look elsewhere.
Barbecue sauce is made out of plastic. I found a dead rat in my food and the sweet chili sauce has fat chunks it in. The food is so greasy my plate looked squeaky bum clean after. I saw a live worm in my drink. Terrible
We have used a good few times now. However the delivery was over 40 minutes late and no apology, or offer of compensation. So sent back spoiled our night completely. Very poor customer service.!! ..your voice.
Nice and humble Chinese takeaway with a brilliant selection of food. I have never had a problem with anything at all. Top notch! Will come back soon.
